Playing within a strong Zionsville program, Zack has shown the ability to impact the game with her scoring instincts, court awareness, and overall versatility in the backcourt.

She plays with confidence offensively, capable of creating her own shot while also facilitating for teammates when needed. Zack’s ability to play both on and off the basketball gives her flexibility within different offensive systems. Defensively, she competes hard and understands positioning, allowing her to contribute on both ends of the floor. As she continues developing physically and expanding her offensive consistency, Zack has the talent and upside to become another major name to watch in the future Indiana Miss Basketball race.

Emily Zack brings a strong inside-outside presence to this IBC group, giving them versatility on the offensive end. She does a great job of playing within her strengths, particularly with her ability to shoot the basketball and handle it effectively from the perimeter.

Zack is comfortable creating space for herself and making plays on the outside, while also being capable of contributing in other areas when needed. One thing that stands out is her ability to move well without the basketball, consistently putting herself in positions to score and stay involved within the flow of the offense.

Her skill set and feel for the game make her another valuable piece for IBC, adding balance and spacing to their offensive attack.

Zack contributed 10 points, but her impact went far beyond scoring. She brings a physical edge to every possession, crashing the boards on both ends of the floor and protecting the rim with authority. Defensively, she can guard multiple positions, contest shots, and make hustle plays that energize her team.

Offensively, Zack is aggressive attacking the paint, finishing through contact, and creating opportunities for herself and her teammates. Her rebounding, defensive presence, and willingness to do the little things provided Zionsville with critical possessions that fueled their fourth-quarter comeback. Zack’s versatility, effort, and team-first mentality make her a key contributor and a rising star on Zionsville’s roster.

Emily Zack Emily Zack 6'1" | PF Zionsville | 2027 State IN  has put together a strong string of offensive performances to open the season, and she continued that trend in Zionsville’s matchup against Carmel. Her impact was especially noticeable in the second half, where she repeatedly finished through contact and established herself as a reliable option around the rim. Zack showed patience in the post, good footwork, and the ability to seal defenders deep in the paint—making her a difficult matchup for Carmel’s interior defense. She finished the night as Zionsville’s leading scorer with 14 points, providing a steady presence during key stretches of the game. As a junior center, Zack has become an essential part of this Zionsville team, contributing both scoring and physicality. Her growth has been a major reason for the team’s strong start, and with three of Zionsville’s top scorers all being juniors, the future looks promising for this experienced but still developing group.

Emily’s game has been built over time, one piece at a time. Last year, you could see her skillset really starting to take shape. She has touch outside, she’s great in the mid-post, plus she was active on the boards, and she improved her handle. This year, it was about the physicality of the game, and she looks stronger and more explosive. Pair that with her skill and her long, wiry frame, and she consistently stacked efforts throughout this Summer. Now, she is starting to earn scholarship offers because of her versatile inside-out game.

Opponents must know where Zack is at all times because she will rack up the boards and buckets all day long. Runs and finishes strong on transition! Comfortable finishing from either left or right block. Strong overall game!

I saw Emily briefly during the Summer of 2023, and then again this Spring, but she really stood out to me with her Zionsville team during the June scholastic live period and has been very intriguing ever since. She is extremely long and wiry, fluid, almost smooth, and even somewhat bouncy. She has nice touch to the 3-point line, she can put it on the floor a little, and she is athletic enough that once she tightens her skillset a bit, she has the potential to become a tall wing. The next step is defending wings and guards consistently.
