Saturday, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana held its first ever Sophomore ID Camp to help identify and showcase several of the state's top Sophomores. With 84 prospects from the 2027 class in attendance, this provided an opportunity to see them compete head-to-head, as well as together, in a combination of 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. The event was loaded with talent, making it difficult to limit the strong play to just a handful of players, so I wanted to circle back and discuss everyone from Teams 7 & 8. There will be one final article highlighting Teams 9 & 10 within the next day.

Team #7:

#39 [player_tooltip player_id='834939' first='Kayla' last='Herron'], 5-7 PG, Culver Academy - [see her review here]

#40 [player_tooltip player_id='691221' first='Maggie' last='Coolman'], 5-0 PG, Homestead H.S. - Maggie is a really good basketball player; she is just tiny. She is very quick and incredibly active, she has a high IQ for the game, and she has a matching skillset. She can handle the ball and run offense, break down defenders, and knock down open rhythm jumpers.

#443 [player_tooltip player_id='633002' first='Maddison' last='Lawson'], 5-4 PG, South Bend John Adams H.S. - [see her review here]

#444 [player_tooltip player_id='992535' first='Henley' last='Good'], 5-7 SG, Fountain Central H.S. - Henley is extremely long and wiry, but she still needs a little time to add some strength to her frame. She plays with a good motor, and she showed a solid understanding of the game. As she gets stronger, look for her productivity to be more consistent.

#467 [player_tooltip player_id='750923' first='Avery' last='Losh'], 5-10 PF, Hamilton Southeastern H.S. - Avery is a rather strong, somewhat powerful forward. She plays with a nice motor, she loves physicality, but she is also skilled for her position. She is comfortable in the mid-post shooting or driving, plus she has a nose for the basketball.

#478 [player_tooltip player_id='992543' first='Lilly' last='Braun'], 5-9 SG/SF, Bishop Chatard H.S. - Lilly is another long, wiry, fluidly athletic wing for the Trojans, who seem to have several on their roster. Lilly was good and somewhat smooth attacking the basket, and she was active defensively, as well.

#490 [player_tooltip player_id='913530' first='Maddison' last='Boyd'], 6-2 C, Mooresville H.S. - Maddison is a broad-shouldered, powerful post prospect who does a nice job of patrolling the paint. She likes to play with physicality at both ends of the floor, plus she plays with a tremendous motor for a traditional post prospect.

#607 [player_tooltip player_id='756251' first='Brooke' last='Silva'], 5-9 SG, Evansville North H.S. - Brooke is one of the better young players in the Evansville area, and she is a really nice, versatile athlete. She has touch outside, some ball skill to push in transition or initiate the offense, and she can sit down and defend, plus she rebounds her position well.

.

Team #8:

#28 [player_tooltip player_id='751076' first='Jayla' last='Miller'], 5-4 PG, Pike H.S. - [see her review here]

#41 [player_tooltip player_id='751071' first='Izzy' last='Stillabower'], 5-5 CG, Franklin Community H.S. - Izzy is a fun-to-watch, tough-nosed little guard. She has nice length, speed & quickness, and she is always around the ball. She is handling it much more than I remember from previous viewings, but she is still a dangerous perimeter shooter with some range.

#46 [player_tooltip player_id='751038' first='Ameria' last='Gibson'], 5-8 SG, McCutcheon H.S. - Ameria is a nice-looking athlete with some length, a wiry-strong frame, and some bounce to her. She plays hard, she can defend multiple positions, and she creates a lot of steals. Offensively, she is still more of a driver, but she can get to the rim quickly.

#54 [player_tooltip player_id='890889' first='Emily' last='Zack'], 6-0 PF, Zionsville Community H.S. - [see her review here]

#83 [player_tooltip player_id='751057' first='Emily' last='Robison'], 5-5 PG, Silver Creek H.S. - Emily is one of the better PG prospects in 2027. She has length, athleticism, and she understands how to play. She is constantly looking for open teammates but has have the ability to knock down an open rhythm jumper. I also like how she competes defensively.

#452 [player_tooltip player_id='747044' first='Reagan' last='Huss'], 5-11 SF, Northridge H.S. - Reagan has gotten noticeably stronger from a year ago, and it has helped her game's consistency. She is a long, fluid athlete, but now she's absorbing contact better, and she's shooting it more consistently from outside. She's also finishing around the rim better.

#477 [player_tooltip player_id='612077' first='Audrey' last='Burton'], 5-11 PF, Bloomington H.S. North - I really like Audrey's upside, but she still needs a little time to finish growing and adding a little strength to her frame. Once she does, I think she'll be more consistent at all three levels. She can shoot it a little, and she plays with a really nice motor.

#507 [player_tooltip player_id='750681' first='Ava' last='Wilson'], 5-7 CG, Columbus North H.S. - Ava has always been a pretty good perimeter shooter, and she again showed that on Saturday. But now, she's handling it more, initiating the offense, and finding open teammates. She's another one who is long and fluid and just needs to add a little strength.

#597 [player_tooltip player_id='934000' first='Erika' last='Larson'], 6-1 PF/C, Avon H.S. - This was my first time seeing Erika, and she is intriguing. She has a long, wiry-strong, athletic frame. She runs the floor well North/South and outworks her matchups, plus she has a little bounce to her. She could develop into a really nice small college prospect.
