HM [player_tooltip player_id='640501' first='Sydney' last='Moore']
Virginia Academy has a lot of elite wings and guards that can shoot the ball. One of them is [player_tooltip player_id='640501' first='Sydney' last='Moore']. Sydney should be a consistent player and reliable spot up shooter for Virginia Academy. Sydney has steadily risen over the past two years and she will contribute to what is an elite Va Academy squad.

HM [player_tooltip player_id='509490' first='Sofia' last='Caraus']
Another elite shooting Virginia Academy player is [player_tooltip player_id='509490' first='Sofia' last='Caraus']. Sofia was one of the best shooters in NOVA last year for Centreville, and I can't think of many players in the area who impacted the game off the bench more than her. Sofia can get hot in a hurry and has one of the highest floors for anyone in the class. She has nice size for a guard and is improving in other facets of the game.

HM [player_tooltip player_id='902372' first='Lee' last='Williams']
What [player_tooltip player_id='902372' first='Lee' last='Williams'] is able to do is perfect for a team with the talent PVI has. Lee is a great perimeter defender and a good spot up shooter. Lee is the ideal role player and has the skill set to fit into almost any situation. She will be a key rotational piece to one of the best teams in the state.

HM [player_tooltip player_id='376338' first='Aliza' last='Murray']
[player_tooltip player_id='376338' first='Aliza' last='Murray'] has been a stock riser this summer, and she is in for a big season for Virginia Academy. Aliza is a three-level scorer and can be effective playing either guard position. Aliza's passing is fantastic, and it feels like you can never speed Aliza up. Aliza had a fantastic summer and will have a terrific year.

Carly is going to have a significant role for Bishop O'Connell this year. O'Connell will rely on their backcourt for scoring, and I think a lot of it will come from Carly. Carly was one of the highest-ranked players for 2026 in her freshmen year, but after fighting for time with players in previous years, I think this is the year she takes that leap. Carly does a great job playing either guard position. She can score the ball from all three levels and is hard to stay in front of. I expect a big year from Carly.

[player_tooltip player_id='743970' first='Irieanna' last='Smoot']'s move to Virginia Academy from Osbourn is one of the most impactful in NOVA. Irieanna was one of the leading scorers in NOVA, carrying a lot of offensive responsibility for a struggling Osbourn team. I was interested to see how Irieanna would go from being the clear-cut number one to being part of a team with a lot of talent. From what I saw at DMVlive and based on how talented Irieanna is, I know she will be one of the best guards in 2026. Irieanna is a great defender and has elite quickness. Irieanna is a reliable shooter from three and can put up points in bunches.

[player_tooltip player_id='603549' first='Ava' last='Sewall'] transferred to Potomac School after spending her first couple of years playing for Annandale. This transfer is huge for Ava because she goes from carrying a struggling Annadale squad to being on one of the better teams in NOVA. Ava gives this team another scoring option in the backcourt. She is a knockdown shooter and can play with or without the ball. It's great to see Ava in a position where she will get more eyes on her playing on a talented squad playing against elite competition.

[player_tooltip player_id='579891' first='Demi' last='Gilliam'] is a do-it-all-all-player for PVI and one of the best forwards in the state. Every year, she gets better and better, specifically as a scorer. Demi is a good passer and one of the more versatile defenders in the state. She can play small ball five or play as a four. She is a fantastic finisher and a great rebounder. Demi was outstanding at the Scott Allen Showcase a few weeks ago, and I think that is a preview of what's to come for the number-ranked player in the 2026 class.

At Forward/Center, I have [player_tooltip player_id='914257' first='Lynette' last='Doku']. Lynette is an interesting player to project. She should be an important piece for Flint Hill this year and has the potential to have a big year. Lynette has great size and is a force in the paint. She rebounds well and does a good job converting chances at the rim. Lynette has a high ceiling and could finish this year averaging close to a double-double.
