Here is a quick look at four Kansas prospects with big games this week. Two are from the eastern part of the state, while two play their ball in the western portion of the Sunflower State.

[player_tooltip player_id='456514' first='Tayten' last='Dewey'], 5'9”, SF, Rawlins County, ‘25

Dewey had a nice debut to the 2023-2025 season. She scored 27 points and dished out 5 assists in Rawlins County's 54-45 win over Decatur County. Dewey is ranked No. 43 overall by Prep Girls Hoops Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='456532' first='Halle' last='Jones'], 5'5”, PG, Holcomb, ‘25

Jones is ranked No. 60 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025. She is a physical point guard who scored 14 points in Holcomb's 56-26 win over Syracuse. Jones finished the night with a double-double adding 13 rebounds to her scoring total.

[player_tooltip player_id='481452' first='Alexis' last='Hecht'], 5'8”, SG/CG, Wamego, ‘26

Wamego opened its season with a 48-44 victory over Topeka High earlier in the week. Hect is an explosive scorer who finished the game with 14 points and eight rebounds. She is a natural athlete and is ranked No. 7 overall by Prep Girls Hoops Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='671505' first='Maddie' last='Vickery'], 6'1”, PF, Washburn Rural, ‘27

Vickery started her season off by filling up the bucket for 26 points. She recorded a double-double in Washburn Rural's 44-43 win over Blue Valley Northwest grabbing 12 rebounds. She is currently ranked No. 2 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027, and I would not be surprised if she averages a double-double all season.
