Sophomore ID Camp: Team 2 Overview

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Saturday, players from around the state of Florida as well as other states descended upon Seminole Sports Academy for 4 hours to showcase their talent against their peers in their class. It's an exciting event to see the class of 2028 compete against their own to see where they truly stand at the state level. Her change of pace and direction make her a difficult matchup assignment, especially with the elite hesi is her bag. She finished so well on both sides of the basket, and her left handed buckets were high level. I really appreciated how well she used the glass for points from 10 feet and in. Her step through move was really tough to defend on Saturday, and she was scoring it from all three levels with consistency. On defense, her hands are active and she uses her length to disrupt any offensive rhythm. She did a nice job finishing with both hands on both sides of the basket. She made her name known and was one of the top post players with her size, length, and strength. I was impressed with her footwork and some of the back to the basket moves she made for buckets. Her ability to back down and feel where her defender is on her back led to some nice spins over either shoulder for the score with a quick release. Her upside is through the roof with her height and length in this class. She did a great job of talking on screens and getting out to contest the shooter using that length. She was knocking down the 3 ball in the 5x5 portion of camp too. Her ability to put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket for a bucket was showcased as well. She could bring the ball up the floor under control and set the pace for the offense in the half court. Outside of her scoring at the rim, she shared the ball really well and made some nice dishes to her teammates to pick up assists.
