On Saturday, players from around the state of Florida as well as other states descended upon Seminole Sports Academy for 4 hours to showcase their talent against their peers in their class. It's an exciting event to see the class of 2028 compete against their own to see where they truly stand at the state level. Here are evaluations on one of the teams I scouted:

Kalyn showcased her ability to score early on with some treys and mid-range jumpers in the 3x3 portion of camp. She forced a number of turnovers with her on-ball defense which led to a ton of transition points. Her vision, handles, and unselfish play got her teammates good looks and easy assists in her stat line as one of the leaders on this team. KT was scoring it from all three levels with one of the toughest baseline jumpers I've seen.

Savanna was very active when she didn't have the ball in her hands which led to easy points on back door cuts. During 3x3, she showed the ability to hit the 3 ball and also get to the basket and finish strong in traffic with either hand. Her effort was huge for her team in 5x5 as she would crash the offensive glass and got some clutch put backs because of that. She hit a filthy spin move for a score off the glass too as a testament to her versatility.

Kaydince was impressive on defense with her active hands that led to some key deflections and steals for her team throughout camp. Another thing to love about her active hands was her ability to pick the pockets of opponents to create offense for her team through defense. She had some nice finishes in the lane and hit a really nice runner during the 5x5 games.

Gabby is one of the best athletes in this 2028 class in the entire state. She's so strong with the rock and is smart when using her body to create separation from her defender without fouling. When she's going downhill to the rim, there isn't really anyone that can get in her way and stop her. I was impressed to also see her passing ability and how she moved the ball on offense. The drop down passes she was making in transition were beautiful.

London has a great frame and solid feel for the game as one of the best 2028's out of Pinellas County. On Saturday in Longwood, she was knocking down triples from long range at a high clip. She could also get to the rack and finish with authority for the bucket and the foul with her strength.

Camila might have been the biggest stock riser for me during camp. She's an elite passer with great handles that allow her to get to the rim. On the way to the rim, she's strong with the ball and hit a nasty hesi on her defender during 3x3 that led to a successful And 1. During 5x5, she crashed the offensive glass with purpose and was scoring it from all over with the deep ball, hitting runners, and using her long strides to glide past defenders.

Ty is super crafty with the ball and did a nice job of using her body to create space for herself during the 3x3 part of camp. She has excellent bounce and sent away a ton of shots using her vertical and length. Her crossover is quick and hard to defend, and she did a great job of pushing the ball in transition. I was impressed to see her hit some outside shots which could take her game to the next level.

A'zaria had to match up against the opposing teams biggest players on most possessions, so she used her strength to her advantage and did a solid job of rebounding the ball. Defensively, she played great help defense when her teammates got beat off of the dribble. She utilized the shot fake effectively a few times and set some strong screens for the talented guards on her team to go to work.

I immediately noticed Nevaeh's length when she entered the gym. Her wingspan was perfect for bothering the other team, and she wasn't afraid to apply pressure on the ball. She ran the floor well, attacked the glass, and was constantly moving on both ends of the floor.
