Carter is a threat to record a double-double every time she steps onto a court and has averaged double-digit scoring totals in two consecutive seasons. Last year, she averaged 19.7 points in 20 games, following a freshman season in which she scored 18.1 points in 19 contests. Last year, her rebound numbers fell a tick. She grabbed 9.6 boards per game as opposed to 10.2 a game as a freshman. She is a physical threat in the paint and is ranked No. 7 overall among her Kansas Class of 2027 peers.

The Ottawa guard scored 18.5 points per game over 14 games. She shot an impressive 67 percent from the free-throw line and drained 18 buckets from deep for the Cyclones. Her sophomore season stat line also featured averages of 4.6 rebounds, 4.5 steals, and 3.1 assists per game. I would consider her one of the top defenders in the 2027 crop of athletes.

When I first saw Bouddhara play for Andover, it was her defensive skills that had the most impact on the game. Now she is scoring at an alarming rate for the Trojans. Her point total from her sophomore season was 11 more points per game than what she averaged as a freshman. In 25 games played last season, she averaged 17 points per contest. She also registered averages of 3.6 boards, 2.4 steals, and three assists per game as a sophomore. The esteemed PGH scout in charge of rankings as the Andover guard ranked No. 5 overall in the Class of 2027.

Like Bouddhara, Hoffman scored 17 points per game last season for the Udall Eagles. She has been a consistent scorer in her two high school seasons, after scoring 16.2 points per game as a freshman. She is a three-level scorer who shot 34 percent from the field and 29 percent from three-point range as a sophomore. She also has a knack for getting to the line, converting on 99-of-138 attempts from the charity stripe last season. That's 72 percent success rate from the free-throw line last season for all the non-math majors out there. When I went into the journalism field, I was told, "There would be no math," which was terrible advice.

Burlington's Splechter is ranked No. 43 overall by PGH Kansas. She scored at a rate of 10.9 points per game in 23 games played for the Wildcats. She made 44 3-pointers last season and averaged 4.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.2 steals per game. She is a multi-sport talent ranked No. 88 overall by Prep Dig Kansas, who also plays softball.

Ball is an athlete after my own heart, having recorded nine double-doubles as a sophomore. I love the double-double. She scored 13.5 points per game for Thunderhawks in 21 games played. She also grabbed an impressive total of 8.1 rebounds per game. She does the majority of her scoring in the paint and in transition. She made just one three-point range basket last season. She is ranked No. 48 overall and plays club ball for [program_tooltip program_id='715500' first='Magic' last='Basketball'].

Splechter was not the only double-digit scorer for Burlington last season. Medlock averaged 14.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game for the Wildcats. She can make it rain, as she dropped 57 baskets from deep a season ago. She is ranked No. 62 overall. She plays club with MOKAN.

Royal Valley's Wahwassuck improved her scoring during her sophomore season. She averaged 14.3 points per game for the Panthers in 21 games. As a freshman, she scored 8.1 points over 18 games played. She shot 28 percent last season from deep and 56 percent at the free-throw line. She has also averaged almost four rebounds per game over two prep seasons. She is ranked No. 74 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027.
