Note: Sheboygan South moves to the new Glacier Trails Conference while West De Pere joins the Fox River Classic for the 2025-26 season. Green Bay Southwest is not fielding a varsity team citing low numbers.

The FRCC became a lot more top heavy with the addition of perennial power West De Pere, the moving of Sheboygan South to the Glacier Trails conference, and Green Bay Southwest not having a team. I believe that 4-5 teams could emerge and win the title this season. Here is how I see things lining up:

1. Bay Port---Good 2024-25 season that ended in an upset loss to Germantown in the regional. Having graduated only two seniors (4.3 points combined), I really like the pieces coming back for Bay Port starting with Maryville commit, Senior [player_tooltip player_id='736760' first='Melia' last='Lemorande'] (6-1, 17.9 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 2.6 apg). She starts her senior season with 678 career points and has her eyes set on the 1,000 point mark at some point late in the season. Impressive seeing she missed one full season due to injury. Returning to join her are 2nd team All-Conference selection junior [player_tooltip player_id='874380' first='Olivia' last='Williams'] (5-8, 14.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.3 apg, 2.4 spg) and Honorable Mention selection sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='874389' first='Kailynn' last='Thompson'] (6-0, 9.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.2 bpg). Looking ahead to their schedule, they could realistically be 8-0 or 7-1 heading into a December 19th matchup with defending conference champion De Pere.

2. Notre Dame---Perennial powerhouse Notre Dame is another team that I could see on top in the FRCC when the dust settles. Finished 17-9 which for many programs would be a banner year but was a bit of a down year for them. Lost 57-38 to state champion Kimberly. They lost UAB commit Peyton Musial and her 20.3 ppg to graduation but they do return plenty of firepower. Back for the Tritons are a trio of seniors [player_tooltip player_id='842199' first='Kaia' last='Waldrop'] (6-0, 16.2 ppg), [player_tooltip player_id='842209' first='Aspen' last='Abel'] (5-11, 11.1 ppg), [player_tooltip player_id='1275665' first='Destiny' last='Webster'] (10.1 ppg), and junior [player_tooltip player_id='874383' first='Brianna' last='Breese'] (6-0, 9.3 ppg). I expect Notre Dame to again be in the 20+ win area and compete for a state berth in brutal Sectional 1.

3. De Pere---De Pere, last year's champion, falls to 3rd in my projections however they will be right there with Bay Port and NDA. They have the pieces returning in 1st team All-Conference senior [player_tooltip player_id='772587' first='Abigail' last='Tassoul'] (5-5, 12.5 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.9 apg, 2.7 spg), All-Conference Honorable Mention and all-defense junior [player_tooltip player_id='874376' first='Adeline' last='Dwyer'] (5-7, 8.6 ppg, 3.0 apg, 3.4 spg), All-Conference Honorable Mention junior [player_tooltip player_id='874379' first='Aubree' last='Fischer'] (5-9, 10.6 ppg, 56.4 fg%) and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='992482' first='Allie' last='Neuenfeldt'] (5-9, 6.2 ppg). Lost 49-34 to Brookfield East in regional final and look to rebound from the graduations of All-Conference players Jaden Ciesielczyk (11.0 ppg) and Egan Bierowski (12.5 ppg). Looking at their early schedule, the Redbirds should be 3-0 heading into tough matchup with Notre Dame on December 5th.

4. Manitowoc Lincoln---The Ships finished 6th last season however I see them moving up at least 2 spots and competing with the "big 3" for lead honors in the FRCC. They lost 54-38 to De Pere in the regional however they only graduated one player accounting for 3.8 points per game. There is cause for optimism with the returns of1st team All-Conference and Defensive player of the year, senior [player_tooltip player_id='777580' first='Sarah' last='Bolchen'] (5-5, 16.5 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 4.6 apg, 4.1 spg), 2nd team All-Conference, University of Minnesota Crookston commit, senior [player_tooltip player_id='750262' first='Kendall' last='Schmitz'] (5-4, 13.2 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.9 spg), and All-Conference Honorable Mention senior Taylor Peterson (5-8, 10.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.4 spg, 1.0 bpg)

5. Green Bay Preble---I see the Hornets taking a slight step back this season due to the graduation of six seniors including All-Conference 2nd team selection Jada Raeder (10.7 ppg). They will need to make up for the 25 points from among four of the key returning players. The most logical choice to fill the void, left by Raeder, is All-Conference Honorable mention selection junior [player_tooltip player_id='874378' first='Brooklynn' last='Lucassen'] (10.1 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.0 apg). Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1225981' first='Gracie' last='Day'] (5-10, 6.7 ppg, 4.9 rpg), senior [player_tooltip player_id='1221190' first='Sophia' last='Smith'] (5-6, 6.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.6 apg) and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='874399' first='Camille' last='Konkol'] (5-6, 5.2 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.5 spg) will also need to make a jump for Preble to compete on a nightly basis in the FRCC.

6. West De Pere---West De Pere (23-6, 11-1 in Bay conference) makes the move to the FRCC after winning the Bay Conference, last season, and advancing to the WIAA semi-final losing 71-58 to Wauwatosa East. The Phantoms were hurt hard by graduation losing 6 players and their top 5 scorers who accounted for 60 points per game. Players who will need to make a significant jump are senior [player_tooltip player_id='842266' first='Alexa' last='Rattray'] (5-8, 3.9 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 1.1 apg), junior [player_tooltip player_id='879987' first='Molly' last='Walder'] (5-8, 3.5 ppg), and senior [player_tooltip player_id='893991' first='Clara' last='Hoffman'] (5-8, 2.3 ppg, 1.2 rpg). They will be a few of the veterans called on to provide leadership in navigating a brutal conference schedule.

7. Ashwaubenon---The Jaguars are another team that I see struggling in the tough FRCC, this season, after losing 5 of their top 6 scorers to graduation accounting for almost 40 points per game. Season ended with a 47-44 loss to Menasha in the regional. On the bright side they do return 7 juniors led by [player_tooltip player_id='889686' first='Sophia' last='Remiker'] (6-0. 7.4 ppg), [player_tooltip player_id='894508' first='Lauren' last='Seeling'] (6-0) and Aubrey House (5-4, 3.0 ppg) that will need to step up to stay competitive nightly.

8. Sheboygan North---Sheboygan North is another FRCC team that fell victim to Kimberly's state title run losing 59-31 in the regional. Lost four players to graduation however they do return 2nd team All-Conference and all-defense selection, senior, Bryn Adams (5-8. 8.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.2 apg). Also returning are seniors Teagan Peitzmeier (5-8, 8.6 ppg) and Avianna Schley (5-10, 6.2 ppg) to anchor a Golden Raiders team that will struggle to stay out of the cellar in the highly competitive FRCC this season.

9. Pulaski---Pulaski is a team, that all though I'm picking in 9th, could surprise and knock off a few teams this season. Hurt by the graduation of 2 of their top 3 scorers, they will need a great senior season from 2nd team All-Conference Olivia Sprangers (5-6, 10.7 ppg, 3.2 spg). She led the Red Raiders in scoring last season but will also need help from fellow senior Alissa Nischke (5-8, 4.8 ppg) and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='891343' first='Anya' last='Hasser'] (5-6, 5.8 ppg) amongst others. They start the season with 4 straight road games before their December 5th home opener against Sheboygan North.
