There were several players to consider when choosing this particular team, including multiple players with very impressive stat lines for season averages. For example, [player_tooltip player_id='727042' first='Mikayla' last='Dunston'] averaged almost 23 points per game for Morrow and Makalya Roberson averaged over 17 points per game to along with 8.4 rebounds and four assists per game. Both players are very deserving, but I only picked eight players for each classification. In picking the player of the year, again a tough decision, I chose [player_tooltip player_id='476495' first='Kailyn' last='Hamby'] who averaged 20 points per game and led her team a state championship. Hamby has quietly been going about her business for years, consistently putting up big numbers scoring the ball at a very high clip. She finished this season as the all time leading scorer in school history as well as breaking the single game scoring record with 33 points against Sprayberry. Creekview took down Loganville on the road in the sweet 16 led by [player_tooltip player_id='1055839' first='Jadeah' last='Marshall'], River Ridge in the Final Four led by [player_tooltip player_id='608120' first='Finley' last='Parker'], [player_tooltip player_id='476459' first='Makayla' last='Roberson'], and [player_tooltip player_id='674569' first='Kyla' last='Cantey'], and then Milton in the championship game with Deyva [player_tooltip player_id='1242017' first='Davis' last=''] and [player_tooltip player_id='727051' first='Caroline' last='Young']. Hamby led her team every step of the way in the tournament and in the regular season where the Grizzlies finished 27-5. Hamby will continue her career playing at Brenau University in Gainesville, where she could easily be breaking the same records four years from now.

Finley put together a very impressive year for River Ridge averaging 19.6 points per game on 42% shooting from the field. Most of her shots come outside of the paint and many of those are three point attempts, so the percentage is very good. Parker also showed her strength and improving physicality averaging 9.5 rebounds per game. In the games I saw her play this season (against good competition) Finley took a beating in the paint and dealt with it well getting to the free throw line and shooting a high percentage. Parker is one of the most highly sought after recruits in Georgia because of her size and skill, specifically that ability to shoot the ball from deep. She has had the luxury of playing with two division signees the first three seasons of her high school career. Both players had exceptional years and took a lot of the defensive attention and pressure off of Parker. In her final season, Parker should be the featured player and get more touches and scoring opportunities

No one in Georgia had a more impressive senior season than Marshall, who won Region Player of the Year while leading Loganville 25-4 record (12-0 in the region), and breaking records along the way. Marshall hauled in 440 rebounds for the season, which comes out to roughly 15 per game, including one game where she grabbed 25 total rebounds. Marshall also broke the school record for blocks in a game with 14. She is a player that has seen her stock rise consistently throughout the season with offers coming in from colleges on all levels, including Georgia State most recently before the coaching change. Marshall's best basketball may be ahead of her and regardless of where she signs in the next few months, she is a prime candidate for the transfer portal as bigger schools become more familiar with her and her game.

Nimah had one of the more impressive stat lines of any player in the AAAAA classification in Georgia averaging 20 points per game on 50% shooting, while grabbing over ten rebounds and almost three steals per game. She is a highly sought after forward in the class nationally who had as big an impact on her team as anyone. She is currently ranked in the Top 50 by ESPN for prospects in the 2027 class due to her size, strength, and skill. Nimah already holds several division offers and garnered the interest of some Power Four schools last summer. With another solid performance this Spring and Summer before her senior year, that interest could turn into offers from schools in the ACC and SEC.

Bass, like Hamby, has quietly been putting together an outstanding high school career, each year better than the last for Sequoyah. She is as consistent as any player on this team and it's that part of her game that has drawn the interest of several colleges, including several division one schools. Bass has excellent fundamentals and size, a nice base to start from, but is a sneaky athlete and plays the game with patience, calm, and confidence. Bass finished the season averaging 19.6 points per game on 40% shooting, 6.2 rebounds, three assists, and two steals per game. She is an excellent shooter and a ver efficient scorer. Like Ibidunni, I expect Carly to have a very good travel ball season in her last and return for her senior year having earned several solid offers and serious interest from division one programs mid-major and up.

Williams is a player who put up video game numbers on several occasions this season, drawing my interest and intrigue about her. When I watched her play versus Decatur, she got to her spots (the high post/mid-paint area) with and without the ball, and scored at will finishing with 30 points. She was equally effective at the top of Woodward's press, where she and Lauryn Dennis-Cooper tormented the Decatur guards stealing the ball and scoring uncontested lay ups in transition. Zee maximized her effort sprinting from end to end calling for the ball to get buckets on the break, rather than jogging and hoping. She has very good length and can shoot the ball from deep. Williams has an excellent chance to repeat as Region Player of the Year and perhaps win state Player of the Year next season. She is a player who definitely could move up the rankings in the state. Her season averages were 23 points per game on 56% shooting with 8.1 rebounds, 5.6 steals, and three assists per game.

Porter was awarded AAAAA-South Player of the Year by the Georgia Coaches Association and there is no disputing that she earned it averaging 15 points, 4.5 steals, and almost three assists per game in leading Coffee to a 28-3 record (10-0 in region) before losing to Milton. Porter was very good in that game slashing to basket, handling the ball confidently, and playing very good defense in her last high school game. Porter is a 1,000 point scorer who will be a very solid college player. She plays with high understanding of the game showing intelligence and intention with her play.

Quiller had an outstanding sophomore season for Evans averaging 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals and four assist per game (including seven double-doubles) for Evans while winning Region 1 5-A Player of the Year. She, along with [player_tooltip player_id='1121279' first='Kimariya' last='Hinton'], led Evans to a 21-6 record, including going 8-1 and finishing second in their region. Hinton, who averaged 10.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, is also deserving of a mention in this article as the senior finished as Region 1 5-A Offensive Player of the Year. Hinton will have a chance to be a good player in the right program on the next level. Her decision will come sooner rather than later, while Quiller has two more years to continue to add superlatives and accomplishments to her high school career before making her college decision.
