Guy comes in at our #1 spot after another successful Spring season on the road. Guy played well doing AAU all across the Country and she also played really well at Team USA trails. Every time she has had the opportunity to show out in one way or another, she has done so. From what I've seen, she continues to make the most of her opportunities while performing at a high rate. Whatever or whoever is put in front of her, she does really well against and that's going to be the case the rest of her playing career. With that being said I'm hoping we see Guy take things to another this Winter at Clinton. If she plays to her full capabilities, she should lead the group to a State appearance before her time in high school is over and from there - who knows what might happen. She just re-opened up her collegiate recruitment so she is going to have eyes from all over the Country on her. Now she just has to continue to perform.

The potential upside the Braylyn Birmginham has right now is noteworthy. She might not be getting a ton of offers left and right but I think that's a strategic thing more than anything else. We are talking about a 6'0/6'1 PG, who can score at all offensive levels. She can also play defense at a higher level than most and that stands out because defense travels in college. Whoever gets BB is going to be getting a killer. More than they might even think at the time she signs. If she is put in the right situation with pieces around her at the next level, watch out because she is going to be lethal. In this Update Birmingham holds onto the #2 spot in this absolutely loaded 2028 Class.

Holding onto the #3 spot in this Update and the #1 overall SG position is [player_tooltip player_id='880913' first='Kelli' last='Kalb'] of Johnston High School and [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] EYBL. It's somewhat of a crazy thing to say but Kalb hasn't seen a loss at the Varsity level yet on the high school floor over her career. They went undefeated and won back-to-back State Titles during her two years thus far but this Winter is going to be very different. The Dragons will have a ton of turnover from year's past so now it's all about how they adapt. Kalb should be the one who takes over and makes this team her own but they do have other talented Guard's still on hand to compete at an elite rate so who knows. The best bet for the Dragons as a whole is that they all do their own thing individually with confidence at such an efficient level that it works off of each other and they become a solid unit. If they do that, I will like their chances in most of their battles but no matter. It's still going to be tough whenever you loss an ESPN rated prospect off your roster so you do what you can.

An unsung hero for the AIA EYBL program is [player_tooltip player_id='1092007' first='Sadie' last='McCann']. What I mean by that is McCann is a silent killer. She produces and she produces a good amount of the time whenever she is lacing up her kicks to compete. She is lengthy at 5'10 and someone that can produce in a hurry if you don't mark her early on within a battle. She is one of those prospects that just knows where to be, when to be there, and she seems to know what to do in every situation that might unfold around her in any given moment. Waukee NW is going to have a chance to dethrone Johnston in the 5A Class this Winter and if that happens, McCann will be one of the players on the forefront leading the charge.

We haven't seen too much out of [player_tooltip player_id='957840' first='Savanna' last='Wright'] out of Iowa this AAU season and that is because she is now competing with Mokan Girls Hoops EYBL but trust me, she is doing just fine and holding her own per usual. Wright is that compete PG, that has that chip on her shoulder mentality. She is a ridiculously hard worker within this craft, always trying to improve on her flaws whenever possible. Wright had D1 offers prior to this AAU move this Spring and that hasn't slowed down. She has been able to transition programs effortlessly, showing that she can be a systematic PG wherever she goes. This is a very talented hooper to round out our Top Five in this Update. If she continues to do her thing at this same rate moving forward, she will be killing it at the next level before we know it!
