5th Region: Nelson County at Taylor County – Taylor County likely gets to be a small favorite thanks to playing on their home court but Nelson County knocked off Taylor by 14 way back in January. According to RPI, this is the number 2 and 3 teams in the 5th region going head to head. Alivia Morris Alivia Morris 5'8" | SF Nelson County | 2025 State KY and Kaia Grabbert Kaia Grabbert 5'9" | SG Nelson County | 2023 State KY taking on Grace Bell and Alexis Knifley should be worth the price of admission.
7th Region: Central at CAL – Central has beaten CAL twice and the second one came in OT by a point. Destiny Jones Destiny Jones 5'11" | PF Central | 2024 State KY , Amaya Asher Amaya Asher 5'7" | PG Central | 2023 State KY and Jala Douglass Jala Douglass 6'0" | PF Central | 2023 State KY are a very formidable trio of stars but CAL is always deep with talent. Brianna Wilkins Brianna Wilkins 5'10" | SF Christian Academy of Louisville | 2026 State KY is super talented and Mariah Knight Mariah Knight 6'1" | PF Butler | 2024 State KY is a matchup problem for most opponents. Bailee Duck Bailee Duck 5'8" | SG CAL | 2025 State KY and Ella Daniels Ella Daniels 5'10" | CG Christian Academy Louisville | 2024 State KY could be difference makers for the Lady Centurions in what should be an awesome game.
11th Region: Great Crossing at Frederick Douglass – Great Crossing almost knocked off Franklin County and will have their hands full again on Monday when they travel to Douglass. Raegan Barrett Raegan Barrett 5'11" | PF Great Crossing | 2023 State KY Rachel Smith Rachel Smith 5'7" | SG Great Crossing | 2023 State KY and Olivia Tierney Olivia Tierney 5'7" | SF Great Crossing | 2024 State KY can provide the offensive firepower to keep up with Niah Rhodes Niah Rhodes 5'7" | CG Frederick Douglass | 2025 State KY , Jermyra Christian Jermyra Christian 5'6" | PG East Jessamine | 2023 State KY and Kate Baker Kate Baker 5'4" | PG Frederick Douglass | 2025 State KY and a Douglass squad that could make a run to Rupp if they continue rolling.
13th Region: Knox Central vs South Laurel (at the Corbin Arena) – Knox will go as far as Halle Collins Halle Collins 5'11" | SF Knox Central | 2025 State KY takes them. She does it all for the Lady Panthers. South Laurel is probably the youngest team in Kentucky as 7 eighth graders are on the varsity roster. Emily Cox and Shelbie Mills Shelbie Mills 5'4" | PG South Laurel | 2027 State KY carry a large burden for South but Peyton “Skeeter” Mabe could be the difference maker in this one if she can slow down Collins around the rim.
16th Region: Rowan County vs Ashland Blazer (At Morehead State) – According to the RPI, this is the best two teams in the 16th squaring off. Haven Ford Haven Ford 5'5" | CG Rowan County | 2023 State KY will be fighting to keep her career going and Katie Chandler Katie Chandler 5'10" | SG Rowan County | 2023 State KY will be doing her best to keep Rowan’s season alive. Meanwhile, the Kittens are led by Kenleigh Woods Kenleigh Woods 5'4" | PG Ashland Blazer | 2025 State KY , Ella Sellars Ella Sellars 5'9" | SG Ashland Blazer | 2024 State KY and Jaidyn Gulley Jaidyn Gulley 5'9" | SF Ashland Blazer | 2024 State KY . Aryanna Gulley Aryanna Gulley 5'11" | PF Ashland Paul G. Blazer | 2026 State KY could be the X factor in this game, which is likely the best in the state tonight.
