Maisie felt more comfortable with more freedom to make mistakes than she had during the high school season. With that she was able to show much more with her game. She repeatedly drew contact and go to the line. Maisie had a nice reverse layup in traffic and showed off a sweet hook shot. If she can keep developing over the summer it could transition into a solid junior season in high school.

The Mustangs take a big hit losing Madisen McDaniel and LaNae Corbett. The returns of Zhen Craft, Mary Amoateng and Vanessa Harris will still have them as conference frontrunners. I believe that Ron will have to figure out how to use Maisie to his advantage. Her 6’2″ body can be a force in the league next season and could open the floor for easier shots than they were getting in the championship game with a third of their shots being three pointers.

Maisie has the size and has shown the skill to be listed amongst the top of her class. It appears she will finally get to show what she can do. The improvement that she has shown under Coach James boosts her up from #25 to #15. I’m hearing that there is a three pointer in her arsenal, if so that will definitely prepare her for the next level.

Maisie appeared overmatched in the SGGC Combine as she dominated in the inside the entire camp. She is adjusting to the Mustangs uptempo long range and attack style and the Mustangs are adjusting to her bang out the paint to submission style. While both are adjusting well as Maisie rose from #49 to # 24. She is a weapon the BMac will need when season play begins.
