Samantha had a three point play the old fashioned way. Bullis was well aware of her threat from beyond the arc and didn’t leave her open much. She had the most important play of the day as she was fouled on a three pointer and calmly knocked down all three free throws which is tough to do.

Samantha is one of the more accurate shooters in the region. She has a good touch and is almost automatic when left open. Because of her height and quick release it doesn’t take much space at all for her to be considered open. She looks good in a Fairfax Stars uniform and the move is mutually beneficial to both sides.

Samantha is looking like one of the top shooter in the game. She knocked down threes repeatedly in warmups and the streak continued during the game. She made two 3-pointers in the game and my thought was that she should be getting more shots, even if they needed to scheme to get her more.

Samantha is developing into one of the elite players in the WCAC. She is proficient in all facets of the game. She has good size and the versatility to play multiple positions and she is a leader on the floor. She has been under the radar after an injury early in her career and playing with all-Americans that demanded attention. This is her time to emerge, she is a player on the rise.

It was good to see Samantha back on the court. She looked good on both ends of the floor and finished well in transition. I was especially impressed with her inside hand finish under pressure. She has good size as a guard and would be effective at any of the perimeter positions.

Samantha is one of the better shooters in the class and will unfortunately be recovering from an injury this summer. The upside is that she can continue to improve her shot and come back even better. She has good height and elevation to get her shot off while guarded and this shouldn’t change when she gets back on the court.

Samantha may be the surprise of the class at the end of the day. She is one of the best shooters in the class, she has a good feel for the game and she plays with a very high IQ. I could see her excelling at any of the perimeter positions and emerging in year two or three after the graduation of the All-Americans on her team. She is getting valuable minutes now but when the major minutes come she may be the one every coach is eyeing.
