Throughout those weekends I have seen all sorts of players that can produce at a high level. Below, in no particular order, I am going to name just some of the players out of the state of Iowa that have impressed thus far.
Quick and efficient guard who is years beyond most her age when it comes to the skill side of the sport. Displays a superiors offensive ability with the ball in her hands on a consistent basis. Dominate in most contests she plays in.
Highlights
Point guard of her class who is picking up right where she left off. High level guard with a quick handle, great scoring ability, and a lot of knowledge of the game. Possesses a ton of endurance and seems to get better as the game moves forward. Type of player you want on your team with the ball in her hands to end the contest.
An emerging talent on the court. A player with athleticism, length, and skill all combined into one. Defensively, can matchup against a guard or switch onto a post if needed. She is still learning how to put it all together but her future is extremely bright with a fairly high ceiling.
Highlights
A shifty and athletic guard who can snatch your ankles with a cross-over or pull up and hit you with a jump-shot. Works off the ball just as well as she works with the ball in her hands. Crafty in the middle when she beats her initial defender off the dribble, leading to a bucket for herself or an open teammate. Type of talent that can completely change a program.
Definition of a power forward if I have ever seen one. Great in the screen & roll game with a fantastic ability to seal her defender as she gets closer to the basket for an easy layup. Dominate as you would imagine on defense. A rim protector and big time rebounder at the moment with her size.
A growing talent in the state of Iowa. A hard working shooting guard who can get hot from deep in a hurry. Has the ability to dribble and create against most while being a mismatch against a smaller defender. Plays with active hands leading to a lot of tips/deflections for her team.
Picking up right where she left off at state by being a bucket. Well rounded player with a lot of different skills. Does a great job of getting set and ready during her catch and shoot moments wether its in transition or off of a set play in their offense. Plays with a lot of fire & emotion, never holding back.

A name that is going to be known moving forward. A player that currently is listed as a small forward but overtime will become a pure combo guard with her size and skill set. Great on and off the ball with good offensive prowess while being able to play some intense on-ball defense. A player to know.
All around baller who is hitting her stride right now for a loaded Mac Irvin 17U squad out of Chicago. A player with a nice handle, above average vision, elite passing ability, and some swagger to go along with all of it. A top guard out of the 2026 class in Iowa that will be making her mark this winter at the varsity level.
Highlights
Efficient point guard who leads her team by example. Controls tempo and pace of the game in its entirety, knocks down open shots when the ball is rotated to her, and has an unreal combination of handles/passing/vision in the full court. Isn’t afraid of confrontation or physicality but more-so welcomes it. Another player to know out of the 2025 class moving into summer ball.
