For many players the high school that they’ve chosen and the current roster will have an inpact on their production as a freshman. For others it could be the coaching style or system that allows them to thrive or hold them back. Talent is always a good place to start and the 2027 class looks to be onof the most talented class in the past eight years.
Here are some of the most talented players in the class to date.

Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka 6'2" | SF Bullis | 2027 State MD
Ivanna has been trending for over a year now and really made waves in a four game set at DMV Live playing real games against real high school teams. She has the height, length and athleticism that had college coaches drooling. She is super aggressive on both ends and has three range that she showed knocking down multiple shots beyond the arc in each game while averaging 27 points per game. She already have All-American voters pencilling her name in the watchlist..

Nevaeh Roberson Nevaeh Roberson 6'1" | SF Georgetown Day | 2027 State MD
Nevaeh being from a basketball family was destined to play this game. Watching her develop over the past four years has been fun. Physically she seems to be ready for the high school level. She should have a level of comfort playing alongside of her older sister. Will she fill the roll of little sister or will she dominate players like she did in middle school?

Qandance is another player that comes from a basketball heritage. She may end up being the best out of the bunch, which is saying a lot since that’s a really talenteed bunch that we are talking about. She is long and lean and can score from inside and outside. She is joining her sister’s alma mater, but it’s a new regime with the Frank jetting south and Ron stepping in. What type of player will she develop into is the biggest question, will she mimic her sister or chose her own path?

McKenzie Jackson McKenzie Jackson 5'10" | SG Charter School | 2028 MD
McKenzie debuted a couple of years ago in a high school open gym. The talent was there as she made plays going up against college bound players. She hit the middle school circuit and dominated as she should have considering. Finally the time has come to show what all the fuss with her was about. She can put the ball on the floor and attacks defenders tight at the hip. She has a nice form from the midrange although I’m not sure what the three ball looks like yet. All questions will be answered quite quickly as the Crusaders have a very aggressive schedule.

Brooklyn Stewart Brooklyn Stewart 5'4" | PG Roland Park | 2027 State MD
I haven’t seen any middle school player that has been able to stay in front of Brooklyn. She is quick and has a nice shot and crisp passes. Will this translate into a high level high school point guard? I think so but we will have to see. I saw her coach push her to beast mode where she took over a game and led her team to a championship, she may have to motivate herself and bring that intensity every game, every play.
