Coffee County punched their ticket to the Boro, heading to state for the first time in 31 years. setting the tone from the get-go with a dominant 22-0 1st quarter. By halftime, the lead was 33-9. and Coffee County had established itself as clearly the dominant team. Hendersonville didn’t score a field goal until 2:14 to play with the Lady Raiders leading 28-1.
’27 Jules Ferrell Jules Ferrell 5'7" | PG Coffee County Central | 2027 TN led the way in the scoring department with 16. Olivia Vinson Olivia Vinson 5'11" | SG Coffee Co. | 2025 State TN had 15, Channah Gannon Channah Gannon 6'0" | PF Coffee Co. | 2025 State TN had 13, Natalie Barnes Natalie Barnes 5'7" | SG Coffee Co. | 2026 State TN finished with 11, and Audri Patton Audri Patton 5'8" | SG Coffee County Central | 2026 State TN had 8 points.
The Lady Raiders will now face Dobyns-Bennet (who beat Farragut on the road) at 12:45.
Jules Ferrell Jules Ferrell 5’7″ | PG Coffee County Central | 2027 TN ’27 is a freshman PG with total trust of her team. She’s lead this Coffee County team as their PG since day one, and she’s done nothing but improve game after game. On a team with lots of experienced (and talented) veterans, you’re not going to be handed anything–and Ferrell has earned everything she’s got. At this point in the year, she’s no longer playing like a freshman, and leading your team in scoring in a substate game is big-time. She’s a star in the making.
Highlights
It feels like she’s the Coffee County “x factor” from the standpoint of it feels like she can level up any time she really decides to. She’s so strong on the block that when CC get’s tight, or stops hitting from 3, they can also rely on Gannon to create a high percentage shot. She’s been dominant this season when she’s chosen to be, and I’m anxious to see how aggressive she will be in the state tournament. If CC is going to go far, she’s gotta be huge for them.
Bradley Central (31-1) 67
Oakland (18-13) 23
Bradley Central won their 17th straight game, and dominated in this immediately. The Bearrettes were up 25-8 at the end of the first quarter, after being up 10-0 after 2 minutes.
The Bradley pressure man to man defense was stifling all game as Oakland had a tough time getting anything going. Again, the defensive acumen of TaTianna Stovall TaTianna Stovall 6'1" | SF Bradley Central | 2025 State TN set the tone for Bradley early, and she held Alonna Poole Alonna Poole 5'11" | SF Oakland | 2024 State TN to just 9 points.
Kimora Field came out hot in the 2nd quarter scoring six straight points. Fields led Bradley with 19 points. Stovall had a big-time double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds (and six assists making it a near triple double). Bradley out rebounded Oakland 40-23, and the way they attack the offensive glass is a weapon on its own.
Harmonie Ware Harmonie Ware 5'9" | SG Bradley Central | 2025 State TN followed up her 20 point performance in the Region Championship game with a 14 point, 8 rebound performance (and three made 3s). Ware is playing her best basketball of the season at exactly the right time, and shooting the lights out right now!
Avary Brewer Avary Brewer 5'7" | PG Bradley Central | 2025 State TN had 7. Addie Geren Addie Geren 5'9" | SF Bradley Central | 2026 TN had 6 with 2 made threes. Grace Philips had 5.
Amaya Nash Amaya Nash 5'6" | SG Oakland | 2026 State TN was held to 4 for Oakland. Kaydence Wisniewski Kaydence Wisniewski 5'9" | SG Oakland | 2025 State TN had 3. Oakland simply couldn’t get anything going offensively as Bradley held them to 7 of 33 from the floor (21%)
Harmoni Ware has a tough season dealing with injuries and adjust to roles, struggling from the perimeter a bit……but in the grand scheme of things….and if you’ve watched Ware play you know how good she is.
She’s been the best player on the floor at times for Bradley over these past two game with a 20 point performance (with 4 threes) and 14 point performance with 3 threes. She still attacking gaps and getting down hill when she needs to, but with Fields and Stovall eating up space around the rim, Ware has had to adjust her game a bit.
And now….she just really comfortable……and she’s playing her best ball of the season. When Ware is shooting like this….good luck guarding Bradley.

TSSAA Division II-A Class A State Championship Game
USJ (24-5) 70
Goodpasture (25-4) 58
Haylen Ayers and the University School of Jackson (USJ) clinched the TSSAA Division II-A Class A girls basketball state championship on Saturday, in what was an EPIC triple overtime game.
Ayers proved once again why she’s considered one of the top 2027 guards in the entire country with an incredible 30 point 12 rebound performance, as she went on to earn MVP honors. This came on the heals of an incredible 2nd half performance (and another double double) against CAK when she just wouldn’t let them lose.
In a game that was back and forth for the entire 32 minutes and change, it had 10 times and 13 lead changes. Goodpasture came in riding a 17 game win streak, and USJ had won 18 straight. The stage was set for an awesome game.
Ayers also hit a buzzer beat that forced the third overtime. And in the final OT, Ayers scored the first 6 points to assure the win. Ayers once again was the best player on the floor, and I thought won the 2nd straight game vs a team with overall better talent.
Talent was all over the place in this game!
Super impressive PG Lazaviona Hawkins Lazaviona Hawkins 5'6" | PG Goodpasture Christian | 2025 State TN led Goodpasture with 19, as Ona’s tremendous tourney run comes to an end. She’s now on my radar as one of the best ’25 PGs in the state. Brooklyn Jones Brooklyn Jones 5'0" | PG Goodpasture | 2027 TN ’27 added 18 for Goodpasture. Harper Kate Miles Harper Kate Miles 5'4" | SG Goodpasture | 2025 State TN also had another nice game and proved she’s a sniper.
I thought Lily Teague ’27 (USJ) had a nice bounce back game after being held silent vs CAK.
Congrats to USJ for winning a state championship! I’ve got a feeling they have another one in their future over the next 3 years.
