Continue ReadingIf I could name one player that had a breakout season, Brooklyn Stewart Brooklyn Stewart 6’2″ | SF Pine Creek | 2025 State CO would for sure be on the short list. Her ability to take over a game on both ends of the floor is what separates her from other girls in her position. Her long arms and athletic build make it hard for opposing players to score over the top, forcing bad shots that resulted in transition opportunities. As for offense, her game has become smoother over the last year, especially when creating for herself.
Cherry Creek has been a basketball power for the last three years with 3 key pieces that have carried the load. Braelynn Barnett Braelynn Barnett 6’1″ | SF Cherry Creek | 2025 State CO is the girl that holds down the paint, she is a force to be reckoned with constantly drawing double teams and having to beat out multiple players for rebounds. She uses her size and skill down low to put defenders in awkward situations before getting an easy layup at the rim.
Windsor has been led by Reyleigh Hess Reyleigh Hess 6’0″ | SF Windsor | 2025 State CO over the past two seasons, a wing that is capable of playing multiple positions on the court depending on matchups. Her ability to bring the ball up and create for herself and ours is what makes their team so tough to defend. This past year defensively she was locked in and refused to give up easy baskets at the rim.
Highlights
There aren’t many girls around that are as tough and focused as Abigail Dille Abigail Dille 5’9″ | SF Revere (Sedgwick County) | 2025 State CO . She led Sedgwick County to back-to-back championships with high level play on both ends of the floor. She has an endless motor that has proved to be effective on both sides of the ball. Whether it’s knocking down long range 3’s or guarding the opposing team’s best player, she has no problem doing what needs to be done to win games.
Highlights
Jada Hodges Jada Hodges 6’0″ | SF Regis | 2025 State CO didn’t have the year she was expecting, mainly because she struggled to find her role on the team, but she did have flashes when she showed what she is capable of. Offensively she can handle the ball amongst the pressure in the backcourt, finding holes in the defense to get teammates open looks. Jada is also a reliable shooter from deep when left open, stretching the floor.
Last season Brooklyn acted as a really good role player for Windsor, but with some players graduating she had to step up. Which was no problem for her physical she was just too much for opposing teams in the paint. Her ability to grab rebounds and give her team second chance opportunities made all the difference in games.
Kiyarra has been a model of what consistency looks like for the past few years; she has been the driving force for Burlington. She is a 5’11 forward that isn’t afraid to use her body in paint to score at the rim or to help crash the glass. Defensively she has a quick reaction time that allows her time to blocks perfectly.
