Tait Harvey is getting better and better every time I see her play! She was sensational this morning leading ETA ’27 to a big time win. She led the with 17 points scoring it at all 3 levels. She’s in total command of the game, and never allows the defense to dictate the pace of play. Great a simple nuances of stops and starts, changing speeds, using hesitations…..Middle school kids take note! You don’t need a ton of “ankle breaking” moves, just be incredible at the simple stuff and you’re going to be excellent.

Just a supreme athlete! Has all the tools to be a big time player. Plays with great effort and intensity on defense. Never gives up on plays. Never allows blow bys. And is athletic enough to contest shots at the rim. Her 15 points on Saturday morning was impressive, but I loved her defense (3 steals and a block).

You can watch Cailyn Taylor Cailyn Taylor 5’8″ | SG Webb School Of Knoxville | 2027 TN leveling up right before your eyes. She’s not forcing anything, and letting the offense come to her. She grew tremendously in her freshman year, and it’s really nice to see it carry over into spring as she looks the part of a D1 guard. I love how much pride she takes in defending, and finished ETA ’27s morning win with 5 steals! She also had 12 points and 3 assists. She’s turning into a complete package guard.

I really enjoy how she is playing with this group. She’s really facilitating well, not forcing the issue on offense, and simply taking what the defense gives her. It’s always interesting to see how a kid like Skylar, who’s the best player on her HS team and already sitting on multiple D1 offers, will change her game to fit into the AAU ecosystem when your surrounded by talent. College coaches are watching this too….as this is what playing college ball looks like for most kids: you’ve been the best player on every school team you’ve every played on and then you get to college and you have to figure out how you fit into a system with talent all around you. Skylar is doing this incredibly well. On Saturday morning, she had 10 points, 2 assists, 5 steals and 4 rebounds.

I thought she was lights out on Saturday morning as a two way player. Really sits in a stance and defends, and is a high level rebounder. Her ability to attack the rim with force is just hard to handle, and she lived at the FT line on Saturday morning in their two wins. Really underrated ’25.
Some stats correlate really well to the next level (rebounding), while other’s don’t necessarily (scoring). Liv Loveday is showing that she is a college level rebounder. On this squad full of talented scorers, she’s playing her role to perfection, delivery high level D, rebounding (10), and nice “on time, on target” passing (finished with 3 assists). Kids–you don’t need to be a big scorer to impact winning in a big way! Loveday’s already figured this out.

The ’25 guard played rock solid on Saturday morning. She had a nice 7 point half in which she was ultra aggressive offensively. Shipley has given her the greenlight, and she’s taking full advantage of it!

I thought she was awesome on Saturday morning. For another article, I just wrote about how I hope she is more aggressive offensively next season for Cumberland County, as I know she has the skill set to be more of a threat next year. When she gets downhill towards the rim, and is allowed to use her strength to absorb contact, she’s just deadly. In both wins on Saturday, she was ultra aggressive attacking gaps and making the right play in the paint. She scored 8 points and had 12!!! assists in TBW’s 2nd win.
Next season, as teams load up on Sydney Wilhite Sydney Wilhite 5’9″ | SG Cumberland County | 2027 TN , I’d love to see Hawkins attack the defense more and exploit the overplaying defense. That’s what she did today.
Right now…she has zero offers. Some college coach is going to get supremely lucky with bringing her into the mix!

Maecie Collins is new to me on the TN scene, but the kid has a bag. She plays the right way: high effort, high intensity, unselfish. Super efficient around the rim. Really knows how to rebound the basketball at its high point. Tons of great stuff from her this morning.

Gibson “The Bucket” Boykin put on a nice offensive show in TBW. From Jackson Christian, she’s never gotten much pub, but the kid can really play. She exploded for 9 points first half points in TBW ’25 2nd morning winning, proving she can score from all three levels. She’s a college level scor
