<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Taking a look at Class 5A West Preview. Area 1 has maybe the hottest and most surprising team in 5a. The Lady Titans of Carl Albert have put together an amazing season. In Area 2 you have defending State Champion El Reno that understands what it takes to win that Gold Ball. In playoffs many of these teams are matching up for the first time and with a 3-4 day window to prepare you never know what can happen. Get out and support. The only lost coming to Bartlesville back in January. Carl Albert path to the finals 67-10 over John Marshall and 43-33 win over Midwest City in the Regional Finals. Talk about playing your best ball in February <strong>Classen SAS @ NE </strong>has done just that. Winners of 5 out of their last 6 games they enter Area Finals with a 16-6 record . Classen SAS @ NE path to the finals 62-26 over Southeast and 40-34 win over Guymon in the Regional Finals</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Regional Runner Up Games</strong> <strong> @ Piedmont Altus (12-14) against Duncan (17-5)</strong> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Altus enters Area with a 12-14 record. Altus reached Regional Finals game by defeating Macarthur in the first round 48-42. Then ran up against a very tough Del City team in Regional Finals. Duncan enters Area with a 17-5 record. Duncan had won 9 in a row until dropping a 36-46 loss to defending State Champion El Reno. Annie has committed to play at Emerson College next season. The Lady Eagles have been playing some great ball after the start of the new year. Winning 13 out of their last 15 games. Del City path to the finals came with a 81-4 win over Santa Fe South and 86-30 win over Altus in Regional Finals'. <strong>El Reno </strong>enters the Area Finals with a 21-4 record. The Defending Champions are experience and have found their groove in the playoffs. Their path to the area finals included a 61-16 win over Western Heights and a 46-36 win over Duncan to Regionals </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Regional Runner Up Games</strong> <strong> @ Bridge Creek Midwest City (15-8) against Guymon (13-9)</strong> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Midwest City</strong> enters Area with a 15-8 record. The Lady Bombers had shown during the season as they can get hot. As they have put together several winning streaks throughout the season. Midwest City reached Regional Finals 37-32 win over Noble. Midwest City played Carl Albert in finals finishing runner up with 33-43 loss. <strong>Guymon</strong> enter Area with a 13-9 record. Guymon at times have had good districts wins but just could not get pass the top two during district play.
