Almost OCA All-Staters : Large West

While each of these players made it on to OGBCA All-State team, the Oklahoma Coaches Association team is quite a bit harder to make. Classes 6A-4A are all squeezed into one ten person team for each side of the state. Bethany was able to get the lone two 4A spots, while El Reno and Edmond Memorial took two spots as well. They are all also in the Top 7 of our Prep Girls Hoops 2025 Rankings. ([player_tooltip player_id='309979' first='McKenzie' last='Mathurin'] and [player_tooltip player_id='309984' first='Marcayla' last='Johnson'] both made the Large East squad)    Raegan is the first person I thought of when putting this story together. The victim of it just basically being too hard for a team to get 3 All-Staters when there are only ten spots. Raegan was named to the Oklahoman's Big All-City first team, and was a nominee for Sports Illustrated National Athlete of the Week after her 30 point outburst in the State Finals. A key part of two straight State Championship teams, the talented guard averaged 14 a game this season, and will be taking her talents to Friends University next season.     Sometimes defensive stars don't have the numbers that pop when it comes time for All_State selections. While I thought a State Finals run probably should have been enough to get Haywood or her teammate Eliana Valentin Florance a spot on the OCA squad. Haywood is headed to Division I Radford in the fall.     Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='315218' first='Brandie' last='Harrod'] got the nod for the OCA All-State team. Dillard, an OGBCA All-Stater averaged 14 a game for the 6A State Champions. Was named Region 1 Offensive Player of the year, but is a long-armed, versatile defender as well. Had a huge second half (13 points) in the Finals against Mustang. Helping lead PC North to their first girls State Title.     A short post-season for Piedmont this season made it hard for her to make the OCA team, Burnett averaged nearly 18 a game. Headed to East Central next season. Gifted scorer who played for [program_tooltip program_id='712993' first='Team' last='Trae Young']. High motor, finds herself in the right place quite often, changes direction quickly.     13 points per game for a 25-3 Norman squad, while also leading the state in assists. Upped her scoring output to 21 a game during the State Tournament. Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='309980' first='Keeley' last='Parks'] is perhaps the best player in Oklahoma, but having Browning at point guard was crucial for Norman. Previously played at Luther, is a part of the Ouachita Baptist recruiting class.
