Michigan Player of the Week: 2024-25 Winners

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last season, we launched the Prep Girls Hoops Player of the Week Award to magnify the accomplishments of high school girls around the state of Michigan. The regional writers do an amazing job covering high school sports, and I thought it would be fun for us to have a statewide award solely emphasizing high school girls' basketball. The Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Player of the Week Award was given to one student-athlete among many deserving candidates who demonstrated excellence during a week of their team's competition. The winner contributed to their team's success in multiple statistical categories to help their team compete to their best potential. Career milestones were taken into account, but the award prioritized statistical dominance that also led to wins during a week of games. A POTW form will be pinned to my X profile for those interested in nominating a player for the award. Athletes who are deserving of recognition and are not nominated using the form will still be considered for the award. Some of the nominees under consideration may be included as honorable mention, but submitting an athlete in the form does not guarantee they will be included in the article. Every 2024-25 POTW winner except one scored at least 40 points in a week, playing a minimum of two games, with one winner scoring 30 points in one game when the week occurred during Christmas break.
