did a great job stepping into the role of starting PG. Mary did not have a huge day as a scorer, but her passing and ability to take care of the ball were huge. She also had a nice day on the glass, finishing with 8 rebounds. She had 5 assists in a game and looked unbothered by her replacing a great player.

Mary matched Madisen with 16 points of her own and had spurts where she looked like the best player on the floor. On defense she terrorized SJC with 9 steals. She shot 70% from the field which is impressive as some of her shots had a high degree of difficulty like her off hand floater as she sliced the lane.

Mary is very skillful with the ball and as a freshman I was a little concerned about her size. As a rising junior her size is not an issue anymore as she had the growth spurt. She also has her skill, can she stand out amongst players of her same talent is what will set her apart. There was a saying that point guards shouldn’t need to be told they are the leader they just fill the role. I’d like to see her take command of the court when she steps on the floor and she can write her own ticket.

Mary had one of the best looking shots I’ve seen in a while. She is quick with the ball and has an excellent handle. She plays without fear and will willingly attack players twice her size and many times will win the battle. Mary should be on major college coaches radar by the end of the summer.

Mary played a crucial role as TTO outlasted the WP Bruins. She showed a good handle and a nice shooting form. She was able to impact the game doing the little things with hustle and defense that don’t show up on the stat sheet. She is typically the point guard but was able to be effective off the ball as well.
