As we are more than a week into August, and prospects gradually return to the classroom, I wanted to address a few transfer students we learned of throughout the Summer who should have a major impact on the 2024-2025 season. Some of these were specifically given to us, others were found on social media accounts, or the prospect themselves updated their PGH profile. Below are eight of those ladies who we feel have something to add to their new program. Disclaimer: I did not include 2028s in this article, even if they decided to attend a high school different from the middle school program they attended, because they technically haven't transferred since being in high school. I also did not include a couple of ladies who were seriously injured over the Summer, therefore the beginning of their season (or any season at all) is still in question.

Brookelynn created quite the "buzz" during the last Spring as she moved over from Manchester High School to county rival Wabash. She is a long, fluidly athletic guard who can do a bit of everything. She has the ball skill and athleticism to act as a scoring point guard, but she can also play off the ball and bury shots from the perimeter as a '2'. She utilizes a nice, competitive motor, and she will rebound and defend as well. what's important for the Apaches now is, she will be able to play with poise and patience against pressure, and she should put them in a better position to compete for the Three Rivers Conference title.

Kassie had an impressive end to July, and she is a strong, physical, high-motor wing prospect who can play multiple positions. She is an aggressive downhill attacker off the dribble, she can play in the mid-post as well, plus she can knock down open jumpers from the perimeter. She rebounds her position well, plus I like how she's able to defend '2s', wings, and undersized '4s'. Kassie was at Southport for two years, attended Decatur Central as a Junior in 2023-2024, but she is reportedly back at Southport once again for her final season.

Kamrah's transfer might likely make the most waves, especially in Class 3A, as she has the talent to lead the Tigers deep into the playoffs. Kamrah was originally at Decatur Central as a Freshman, but she opted to head to prep school and attended Montverde Academy in Florida for her Sophomore season. She was already back in Indianapolis this Spring, but this time at Crispus Attucks. She is strong for her position, athletic, and very creative with the ball in her hands. She can break down defenders and get through the lane, plus she has a nice mid-range pull-up. She has vision and can find open teammates as well. Look for her and the Tigers to be a real player in Class 3A at the end of the season.

Maya is an extremely long, wiry, smooth, and fluid athlete who plays with speed an intensity at all times. She utilized those tools to make Class 1A Faith Christian highly competitive the last couple of seasons, but now she heads to the Class 4A Bronchos where she should make her mark early and often. Maya has always been an aggressive scorer, but she is shooting it much better outside, she can run offense and facilitate as well, plus she has been a high-level defender who can really cause havoc when defending the basketball.

Alonna has been a key backcourt member for the Ben Davis Giants the past two seasons, but she has moved over to rival Pike, and she offers the Red Devils backcourt versatility and a ton of high-level experience. She is a talented athlete who can put pressure on opponents in transition by pushing the ball up the floor and making plays off the bounce. She can run offense, break down the defense, and finish through contact. At the same time, she might be even better as an on-ball defender. Where she helps Pike most is, she allows 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='751118' first='Saniya' last='Smith'] the opportunity to play off the ball and focus on scoring.

Kenadi joins her sister Kamrah (above) at Crispus Attucks after playing her first two seasons at Decatur Central High School. While Kamrah went to Montverde, Kenadi stayed in Indianapolis with the Hawks last season and stood out as one of their best scorers. She has a strong frame, and she is an aggressive multilevel scorer. She is a nice North/South driver, she absorbs contact well, and she can knock down an open rhythm jumper. The combination of Kenadi, Kamrah, and [player_tooltip player_id='453215' first='Soriah' last='Gouard'] (mentioned yesterday), gives the Tigers one of the best backcourts in Class 3A in the entire state. Keep an eye on Attucks when February rolls around.

North Central has spent the last three seasons showcasing a talented 2025 backcourt, led by [player_tooltip player_id='366798' first='Jalyn' last='Davidson']. Now, they add a nice, talented forward like Hannah to the mix in 2026, giving them size and versatility along the frontline. Hannah spent two years at West Vigo High School, but now she'll bring her inside-out skill to the Thunderbirds. She is long, wiry-strong, fluidly athletic, and even bouncy. She can knock down an open jumper, the occasional 3-pointer, plus she can attack the basket off the bounce. Inside the arc, she's an active and aggressive rebounder.

Emily just got her career started this past season at New Albany High School, but she now brings a great deal of skill and ability to the Dragons of Silver Creek, where she makes an already strong backcourt that much deeper and more versatile. With guards like [player_tooltip player_id='422604' first='Emma' last='Schoen'], [player_tooltip player_id='366806' first='Lydia' last='Wright'], and [player_tooltip player_id='506022' first='Katy' last='Rooney'] burying shots around the perimeter. Emily can act as that traditional point guard presence who can run offense and facilitate to those other guards plus frontline star [player_tooltip player_id='486543' first='Brooklynn' last='Renn']. Emily has speed & quickness, a high level of ball skill, plus she is capable of burying shots when left open.
