was probably the player of the day. This Ireton Vs. St. John’s game was physical and gritty, and that was something Carolae relished in. She dominated the glass and felt like she was always around the ball. She used her strength to move people around, and Ireton had no answer for her. Carolae came up huge controlling the inside with a strong double-double 11 points and a game high 13 rebounds. She was the best player on the floor in the third quarter and put the brakes on every PVI tried to get back in the game. She showed why she deserved her 2nd team All-WCAC nomination.

Carolae seeks out contact and is willing to batting against anyone. She has a thick frame but is surprisingly agile on the floor. Her desire to initiate contact puts referees in awkward positions on which call to make, she is typically the beneficiary gaining a frequent trips to the line.

Carolae was a force in the paint in this contest. She set the tone with physicality early in the game and never let up. She finished with a double-double, going for 12 points and 10 rebounds. I love her shooting touch and footwork. She has some nice inside moves and a face up game to go with it. Her mid-range shot was on, so it made her tough to defend.

Carolae plays like she’s trying to make up for lost time looking to make a play on every touch. Most of the time it works for her as her physical strength is unmatched in most cases. She is nimble for her size and seeks out contact. As she expands to use her mid-range game she will be really hard to contain.
