Preview: Northeastern (17-6) is a talented Class 2A group, with college prospects at most positions. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='177342' first='Addisen' last='Mastriano'] (13.3p, 8.1r, 2.9a, 2.1b) is a monster in the paint, while Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='486539' first='Adysson' last='Kircher'] (15.5p, 3.5r, 3.9s) and Junior [player_tooltip player_id='404112' first='Ava' last='Mikesell'] (10.8p, 2.8r, 4.5a, 4.4s) control the perimeter. Additionally, the Knights saw the return of Senior [player_tooltip player_id='773771' first='Juztice' last='Slick'] (3.0p, 2.8r) the second half of the year following a knee injury. Shenandoah (11-10) was okay during the regular season, but they are 3-0 against the Sectional #41 field, though they haven't faced Northeastern yet. The Lady Raiders don't have any Seniors and are led by Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='751297' first='Grace' last='Lee'] (10.8p, 4.9r, 3.3s) and Sophomore Gabbi Patrick (7.8p, 7.3r, 2.7s). They still might be a year away.

Preview: The teams in Sectional #42 don't typically play each other in the regular season, but Eastern Hancock (21-1) has already defeated Triton Central (17-6), 50-41. The Royals are deep, skilled, and balanced. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='750766' first='McKenzie' last='Koch'] (19.8p, 4.0r, 2.9a, 3.1s) leads Eastern Hancock, but she gets support from a strong Senior group that includes Sammie Bolding (12.7p, 2.7r, 2.1a, 2.4s), [player_tooltip player_id='455934' first='Ruby' last='White'] (11.0p, 5.7r), Brooklyn Willis (5.8p, 4.9r, 3.0a), Makenzie O'Neal (4.8p, 5.0r, 2.5a), and Sydney Springman (3.9p, 2.0r). They have a nice Junior group as well. The Tigers of Triton Central lean on Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='486559' first='Maryrose' last='Felling'] (17.6p, 4.7r, 2.8a, 2.3s) and Senior [player_tooltip player_id='718300' first='Brooklyn' last='Bailey'] (12.3p, 7.6r). Freshman Quinn King (6.0p, 3.4r, 5.4a) has flashed nice potential as well. It's likely going to come down to those two teams, and Eastern Hancock's toughest opponent would be beating themselves. Look for them to potentially make a deep playoff run.

Preview: Sheridan (17-5) doesn't have a Senior in its core rotation, so not only are they very good right now, but they look like they'll be a highly ranked team a year from now as well. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='324072' first='Kenzie' last='Garner'] (20.0p, 9.5r, 5.0a, 4.2s 2.1b) is the unquestioned leader, but she gets great help from fellow Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='482853' first='Cecilia' last='Timme'] (9.6p, 4.7r, 3.9a, 3.4s), Nova Cross (6.2p, 2.5r), and [player_tooltip player_id='331804' first='Shelby' last='Eaton'] (6.1p, 2.9r). University (10-12) suffered a number of graduation losses and changed coaches, but I'd expect them to still be a threat to Sheridan this week. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='486480' first='Charlotte' last='Conyers'] (10.9p, 4.9r, 3.1s) and Junior [player_tooltip player_id='331768' first='Anyah' last='Jordan-Turley'] (10.5p, 4.1r, 2.0a, 2.3s) share the backcourt with Senior Keira Bright (9.0p, 3.8r, 3.8a, 2.8s), while Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='492320' first='Hannah' last='Grubbs'] (9.4p, 9.5r in 10 games) returns from injury and helps in the frontcourt.

Preview: Parke Heritage (20-3) is a heavy favorite in Sectional #44, and it's going to be tough for anyone to keep up with them. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='506018' first='Emma' last='Simpson'] (19.9p, 10.9r, 5.1a, 4.2s) does it all for the Wolves, but she has several talented teammates around her. Fellow Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='881701' first='Addilee' last='Jenkins'] (7.4p, 3.4r, 2.4a, 2.2s), Catherine O'Brien (7.0p, 2.8r, 2.1s), and [player_tooltip player_id='889466' first='Addison' last='Jenkins'] (5.6p, 3.5r) offer the most support this postseason. Southmont (13-8) is the lone team who could potentially cause problems for the Wolves. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='825896' first='DeLorean' last='Mason'] (16.3p, 3.4r, 5.3s) is smaller but packs a big punch. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1137319' first='Layla' last='Gomez'] (7.7p, 7.1r, 2.0s) has been a nice addition as well for the Mounties.

Favorite: South Ripley
Contender: North Decatur
Longshots: Switzerland County, Milan, Hauser

Preview: As far as Sectional #45 goes, South Ripley (13-8) is 5-0 against the other four teams, with no one coming within 9 points. At the same time, the Raiders have lost three of their last four games heading into Sectional play. The Raiders get a balanced effort from Senior Reese Obendorf (11.8p, 5.5r, 2.9a, 2.0s), Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1137334' first='Claire' last='Samples'] (8.8p, 3.6r, 2.0s), Junior Lexi Franklin (8.4p, 6.0r), and Senior Lydia Cornett (7.2p, 4.8r, 2.4a, 2.2s). If they can get back to the way they played when they won nine out of ten games, they could make a nice tournament run. If not, North Decatur is right there to spoil the party. The Chargers (16-6) have had a nice season as well, plus they field a talented lineup. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='366794' first='Madi' last='Allen'] (13.8p, 7.5r, 2.2a, 2.0s) can play multiple positions, score, distribute, and defend, while Senior [player_tooltip player_id='572816' first='Ella' last='Kunz'] (14.1p, 8.1r, 2.0s) is highly productive around the paint. Additionally, the Chargers can go about eight deep and adjust to their opponents.

Preview: Austin (17-6) had a strong regular season, posting a 6-0 record against Sectional #46 opponents. They have strong guard play, led by Sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='567133' first='Brynn' last='Owens'] and Jaleigh Schepman, plus Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1218620' first='Kelsey' last='Hawkins']. They can control tempo and cause problems for opponents. Junior Lizzy Baker gives the Eagles a nice presence inside. Providence (16-7), Brownstown (14-9), and Henryville (14-8) could all pose a threat to Austin. Providence brings Sophomore twins [player_tooltip player_id='624882' first='Addison' last='Smith'] (11.3p, 4.1r, 2.5a, 2.5s) and [player_tooltip player_id='885219' first='Avery' last='Smith'] (11.3p, 8.2r, 2.0s), plus Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='834945' first='Jayda' last='Kempf'] (9.9p), to the table. With their youth, they might be a year away, though. Brownstown gets a much more balanced effort throughout their roster with Junior [player_tooltip player_id='923178' first='Jenna' last='Klosterman'] being one of those contributors. Henryville turns to Senior Alexis Marion and Junior Addison Foley to lead the effort.

Preview: Per the ICGSA class polls, North Knox (23-1) is the #1 team in Class 2A, while South Knox (22-1) is the #2 team. South Knox lost to North Knox in overtime earlier this season, and North Knox lost 51-50 to Class 4A power Bedford North Lawrence. Sectional #47 looks like these two teams are on a collision course, and the winner could get to Indianapolis. North Knox has a strong Junior class, led by [player_tooltip player_id='295765' first='Alex' last='McKinley'] (12.7p, 3.4r, 2.1s), [player_tooltip player_id='473675' first='Brynna' last='Collins'] (8.7p, 3.7r, 2.5a, 2.5s), and [player_tooltip player_id='362315' first='Brooklyn' last='Sturgeon'] (5.4p, 2.3r, 3.2a), plus Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='420275' first='Lexi' last='Primus'] (12.8p, 3.8r, 2.6s) is actually their leading scorer and rebounder and gives them another talented player to defend. South Knox can counter with Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='570374' first='Ella' last='Bobe'], who has already earned Division-I interest/offers. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='626932' first='Bren' last='Hill'] brings height, length, and athleticism, while Freshman sister [player_tooltip player_id='756236' first='Kendal' last='Hill'] is another talented perimeter player. If anyone can upset either directional Knox, I would lean towards that being Linton-Stockton (16-6). The Miners have had a lot of success over the years, and they can throw multiple defenses at anyone. Linton also has a pair of Senior guards who will play at the next level in [player_tooltip player_id='326486' first='Bradie' last='Chambers'] and [player_tooltip player_id='718311' first='Sydney' last='Jerrells'].

Preview: Crawford County (17-6) had a nice season and looks to be a favorite in Sectional #48. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1218694' first='Maddyson' last='Sturgeon'] leads the Wolfpack from the point, and she gets help from Sophomore Emmy Stroud. South Spencer (11-11) could play spoiler, having lost to Crawford County by just 5 points earlier this season. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='455943' first='Molly' last='Schulte'] (16.6p, 4.3r, 6.1a, 2.9s) can play the role of scorer or facilitator. Freshman Alexis Harris (10.7p, 2.4r, 3.1a) has stepped up and been a nice addition for South Spencer as well. Tell City (11-11) is another team waiting to take advantage of someone's slip-up. The Marksmen have a young team with no Seniors on the roster. They could be a problem over the next couple of seasons. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='828948' first='Reese' last='Ford'] (14.7p, 4.4r) and Freshman Ollie Toothman (7.9p, 5.4r) are a couple of their young standouts.
