Continue ReadingNia Carr—A tremendous on the ball defender that all show the ability to knock down shot. Her athleticism jumps off the floor. High level passer.
Championship game: Knocked down a huge middy off the dribble to cut the lead to 3. Battle on the glass and for loose balls like her life depended on it with the game on the line.
Highlights
Always gives great defensive effort, and knocked down a couple big buckets vs Team Passion in the 1st half. Attacked the rim hard in the 2nd half. Got cooking in the 2nd half, and when both her and Walden are hot…you just can’t guard them.
Championship game—Continued to show off her touch from midrange with a big bucket to cut the lead to 2 (48-46).

Ashley Richburg
Really shifty guard with nice court vision. Can get you off balance off the dribble while also evaluating the defense.
Pg that knows what she’s doing. Vocal leader. Get’s this group into their stuff. This group ran some pretty actions and she is the one that got them into their stuff. Elite athleticism. Can get to the rack at will.
Really nice inside/out player. Can play the wing or the post. Up and unders, drop steps…has a post up bag. Multiple buckets in transition simply running the floor hard. Battles hard as a rebounder. Relentless on the offensive glass. Really nice left baby hook.
Highlights
Really tough 5’11 versatile kid. Can score inside or out. Finishes through contact. Really battles defensively and can guard multiple positions.
Highlights
High iq kid. Knows how to get into a barkely, and then take what the D gives. Two nice lefty finishes. Really talented around the rim. Finishes with both hands. Nice passer.
Highlights
6’0 shooter! Caught on the perimeter and immediately shot without hesitation. Showed the ability to use her size to finish inside as well.
Highlights
I LOVE her game, and I want her to be more aggressive offensively. Her skill set is there…but at times can try to facilitate with the easy passes sometimes too much instead of trying to attack and collapse the D.
I’ve coached pass first PGs that I had to try to understand that you MUST be a threat to score in order to help your teammates flourish. It’s a bit of a paradox at times, but even the most unselfish players gotta be a little selfish in order to make the defense respect the whole floor.
When she does get aggressive attacking the rim (and she did it well in the 2nd half), it opens up the game for her team. Plus, her float game, mid range game is NICE! She’s a college level guard no doubt.
Highlights
Made a big time impact defensively. Had a hard time getting her offensive game going but really impacted winning on the other side of the ball. College coaches want to see that—can you impact a game without getting buckets. Claybrook proved she can vs top tier competition.
Hit an early 3 after struggling to buy a bucket this weekend. Had a really tough defensive matchup and rose to the occasion. Continues to prove she’s a nice 3 and D wing.
Highlights
Solid as a rock. Knows when to simply move the ball, shoot it, or attack the close out. Defensively is always where she’s supposed to be. In the 2nd half, got more aggressive going to the rim and showed off her strength finishing through contact.
