Northern Virginia Seniors Take the Floor One Final Time

Selected seniors from across Northern Virginia will gather one final time in their high school uniforms at the 2026 Northern Virginia Women's Basketball Coaches Association (NVWBCA) Senior All-Star Game on Sunday at Oakton High School. Representing Prince William County, the Northern Region, Loudoun County, and the Occoquan Region, players across the area will compete while celebrating their high school careers. The afternoon begins with a 3-point contest at 12:30pm, followed by the first matchup at 1:30pm between Prince William County and the Northern Region. Occoquan Region will face Loudoun County at 3:45pm, with awards presented between games. Here's a closer look at the seniors selected to compete in the 2026 NVWBCA Senior All-Star Game.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Prince William County</h2>    Semenuk brings a veteran presence and leadership to the floor, setting the tone with her ability to control tempo and apply relentless defensive pressure. A confident shooter and strong ball handler, she disrupts opposing guards with full-court defense while creating scoring opportunities by attacking downhill. Semenuk delivered in key moments for the Panthers, including a 10-point performance in a pivotal win over Hylton where she balanced scoring with playmaking responsibilities. In the Cardinal District Semifinals, she responded each time Colgan surged, knocking down a late first-half three and sealing the overtime win with clutch free throws to send Potomac to the championship. She carried that poise into the Cardinal District Championship, stretching Woodbridge's defense with timely scoring, facilitating the offense with precise passes, and creating turnovers with her pressure to help lead the Panthers on both ends of the floor.     Semenuk was a consistent offensive contributor for the Panthers, delivering back-to-back strong scoring performances late in the season. She scored 16 points in a win over Freedom-Woodbridge and followed it with an 18-point effort against Hylton, helping Potomac secure the No. 1 seed with her composure and shot-making under pressure. In the Cardinal District Semifinals, Semenuk played with controlled aggression, attacking downhill to draw fouls while adding a corner three and a strong left-hand finish during a key scoring run. She carried that production into the Cardinal District Championship, spacing the floor and knocking down a timely three while contributing at the free-throw line. Beyond her scoring, Semenuk made an impact defensively with active pressure in the press and strong weakside rebounding, providing disciplined, reliable play for the Panthers on both ends of the floor.     West is an aggressive playmaker who excels at reading gaps in the defense and attacking decisively off the dribble. A 1st Team All-Region selection, she plays within the flow of the offense while applying constant pressure on defenders with purposeful drives and quick decisions in transition. West's 12-point outing against Independence highlighted her efficiency as a scoring option, while her court awareness and vision helped keep the Yellow Jackets' offense moving during the Cedar Run District Championship. Throughout the postseason and state tournament, she consistently turned defense into offense with active hands, transition pushes, and fearless rebounding despite size mismatches. In the Class 6 state final, West played a pivotal role initiating fast breaks and knocking down key free throws late, helping Osbourn Park secure the state championship.     Rainey is a dynamic shot creator and one of the most dangerous scoring threats in the state. The Region 6B Player of the Year and three-time Cedar Run District Player of the Year is a true three-level scorer who can attack downhill, rise into pull-ups, and finish through contact with confidence. Rainey delivered multiple standout performances this season, including 28 points against Gainesville, consistently taking over offensively when the Yellow Jackets needed a spark. She surpassed 1,440 career points to become Osbourn Park's all-time leading scorer during the state tournament and continued to lead the way throughout the postseason. In the Class 6 state final, Rainey scored 24 points while controlling the tempo with her scoring, rebounding, and defensive activity to help power Osbourn Park to the state championship.     Snead brought composure and control to the Yellow Jackets' backcourt throughout her career, managing tempo and making smart decisions under pressure. A scrappy, high-effort guard, she consistently impacted the game with defensive intensity, hustle plays, and leadership at the point of attack. Snead delivered key performances this season, including a 14-point effort in the Cedar Run District Championship while organizing the offense and pushing the pace in transition. In the Region 6B Championship, she helped set the tone early with strong rebounding, transition play, and Osbourn Park's first three-pointer before suffering an injury in the second quarter. Although she is unable to participate in the All-Star Game, Snead's leadership and contributions remain an important part of Osbourn Park's championship run and her successful high school career.     Hayes embraced her role as a dedicated teammate and dependable contributor throughout her senior season. Even when minutes were limited, she consistently supported her teammates and stayed ready to step in whenever her number was called. Hayes showed the ability to impact the game from the guard position, whether facilitating the offense, knocking down perimeter shots, or attacking the basket. She also brought defensive effort and awareness when on the floor. Her team-first mindset and readiness to contribute reflect the qualities that help strengthen a championship-caliber program.     Johnson provides leadership and strong decision-making from the backcourt. In a win over Gar-Field, she delivered an efficient performance with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists, helping the Bulldogs control the tempo. Johnson consistently makes smart reads with the ball, balancing scoring with playmaking responsibilities to keep the offense organized. Her composure and all-around impact served as a stabilizing force for Hylton during her senior campaign.     Cathcart made a strong impact on both ends of the floor during her senior season, directing the offense while applying constant defensive pressure. She averaged 11.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, earning 1st Team All-District honors. Cathcart delivered several standout performances, including a career-high 13 rebounds to go with 15 points in a win over Colgan. On Senior Night against Gar-Field, she recorded 16 points and 13 steals for her third double-double of the season. She followed that effort with a game-high 17 points, along with 3 assists and 8 steals against Freedom-Woodbridge, highlighting her ability to impact the game as both a scorer and playmaker.     Young played a valuable role for the Bulldogs, contributing whenever her team needed production. She showed the ability to score and rebound effectively, making the most of her opportunities when called upon. Young embraced her role within the rotation and consistently worked to impact the game with effort and physical play. Her willingness to step up and contribute helped support Hylton throughout the season. Alongside her fellow seniors, Young helped make the Bulldogs' season a memorable one through effort and team-first play.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Northern Region</h2>    Murray established herself as one of the region's most reliable perimeter scoring threats, earning 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-Region honors. Murray is a confident shooter who can knock down shots off the catch or the dribble with clean mechanics and a quick release. In the Concorde District Championship, she connected on several deep three-pointers and delivered a clutch mid-range and-one that forced the game into overtime. Murray consistently stretches the floor offensively while also impacting the game defensively with active hands and strong anticipation in passing lanes. Her ability to create scoring opportunities while generating transition opportunities off steals provided balance to Centreville's lineup.     Siriwardene surpassed the 1,000-point milestone during her senior season while serving as the centerpiece of the Wildcats' offense. A 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-Region selection, she is a dynamic three-level scorer who can pull up off the dribble, knock down perimeter shots, or finish effectively in transition. Siriwardene's length and anticipation also make her a defensive playmaker, frequently turning steals into immediate scoring opportunities. Her ability to read passing lanes and disrupt opponents fueled Centreville's pressing defense. By converting defensive pressure into offense, Siriwardene consistently gave the Wildcats a competitive edge.     Cuellar provided reliable perimeter shooting and backcourt production during her senior season. A 2nd Team All-District and All-Defensive Team selection, she consistently spaced the floor with a quick release and confidence from beyond the arc. Cuellar also made an impact defensively, applying ball pressure and anticipating passing lanes to generate steals. Those defensive plays often turned into transition opportunities, where she advanced the ball effectively or found teammates ahead. Her pace, awareness, and two-way effort added depth and balance to Centreville's guard rotation.     Tarry capped off an impressive high school career as a four-year Varsity player and three-year team captain. She surpassed 1,000 career points while earning 1st Team All-District honors for the third consecutive year and 2nd Team All-Region recognition. Tarry consistently contributed across the stat sheet, setting the tone on both ends of the floor for the Chargers. Defensively, she anticipated passing lanes well, generating steals that often turned into coast-to-coast transition opportunities. Off the ball, Tarry moved with purpose, creating space along the perimeter for catch-and-shoot three-pointers.     Wilson established herself as one of the region's most dominant two-way players during her senior season. The McDonald's All-American nominee surpassed 1,000 career points while earning 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-Region honors. A four-year Varsity player and team captain, Wilson was a consistent double-double threat, highlighted by a career-high 33 points and 16 rebounds against Fairfax, believed to be the school's highest single-game scoring performance in the past two decades. Defensively, she anchored the paint with strong timing and active hands, blocking and altering shots while disrupting entry passes. Wilson's size, mobility, and feel for the game made her a reliable presence on both ends of the floor and a player with significant upside at the next level.     Toole put together one of the most decorated seasons in the region, earning District Offensive Player of the Year, District Defensive Player of the Year, and Region 6D Player of the Year honors. A reliable double-figure scorer, she anchored Oakton's offense with the ability to attack downhill, create for teammates, and deliver in late-game situations. In the Concorde District Championship win over Centreville, Toole showcased her all-around impact with strong downhill drives, rebounding, and outstanding point-of-attack defense, including a game-clinching defensive stop. She also sealed key moments with clutch free throws and consistent playmaking throughout the postseason. Toole's ability to control the game on both ends made her one of the most complete guards in Northern Virginia this season.     Chang capped off her career as a 1,000-point scorer while earning 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-Region honors. She provided dynamic guard play, stretching defenses with confident perimeter shooting while also attacking off the dribble. Chang's versatility showed through her ability to contribute on the glass and help push the pace in transition. Her scoring and experience gave Oakton another reliable offensive option throughout the postseason. Chang's ability to space the floor and create opportunities added valuable balance to the Cougars' lineup.     Lee concluded her high school career as a four-year Varsity player and a leader for the Statesmen. Known for her competitiveness and high basketball IQ, she consistently brought composure and control to the backcourt. Lee's growth over the course of her career reflected her dedication to skill development and commitment to the program. Lee will continue her basketball career at Eastern Mennonite University, carrying forward the leadership and work ethic that defined her time at Marshall.     Mahshie capped her high school career as a skilled perimeter shooter and MIT commit. She consistently stretched defenses with the ability to knock down three-pointers, whether spotting up on the wing, sliding to the corner off a reversal, or pulling up off the dribble when the opportunity presented itself. Mahshie's smooth mechanics and confident follow-though made her a reliable threat from anywhere beyond the arc. She moved well without the ball, making herself available for open looks within the flow of the offense. Her perimeter scoring ability added valuable spacing and offensive balance for her team throughout the season.     Jungman anchored the interior with strength, skill, and strong basketball IQ throughout her senior season. A dominant presence in the post, she used her body well to establish position and stay open for entry passes. Jungman showed the ability to score in the paint while also reading the defense and making smart decisions with the ball. When defenses collapsed, she attacked and created opportunities for teammates with well-timed passes to the opposite block. Her combination of physical play, awareness, and interior scoring made her a key presence for Washinngton-Liberty.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Loudoun County</h2>    Kancharla set the tone in the Falcons' backcourt with poise, defensive intensity, and strong floor leadership. She consistently disrupted opponents with active hands and relentless ball pressure. Kancharla also managed tempo offensively, balancing playmaking with opportunistic scoring while keeping Briar Woods organized. In the Potomac District Championship, she finished with 9 points and 4 steals, opening the game with a three-pointer and providing leadership throughout the matchup. Her scrappy defense, vocal presence, and ability to turn steals into transition opportunities made her a key two-way contributor for the Falcons during her senior season.     Zaher brought versatility and balance to the Falcons' lineup. A confident perimeter shooter, she stretched defenses with quick catch-and-shoot ability while also finding scoring opportunities through strong off-ball movement. Zaher proved capable at all three levels, using her footwork and spacing to create clean looks while also finishing inside through contact. In the Potomac District Championship, she recorded 7 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals while helping control the glass and spark transition opportunities. Her length, rebounding presence, and defensive timing made her a key two-way contributor for Briar Woods.     Tribino brought toughness and defensive intensity to the Vikings' backcourt throughout her senior season. Often tasked with guarding the opponent's top scoring threat, she used her length and physicality to disrupt passing lanes and apply pressure on the perimeter. Tribino's defensive energy consistently set the tone for Loudoun Valley on that end of the floor. Offensively, she contributed by finishing effectively in transition and making smart decisions with the ball in her hands. Her relentless motor and willingness to compete every possession made her a valuable two-way presence for the Vikings.     Mills has been a productive presence for the Vikings over multiple seasons, bringing size, toughness, and consistency to the lineup. She controlled the glass and established herself as one of the most impactful players in the region with her rebounding ability. Mills also stretched defenses with perimeter shooting, creating difficult matchup problems for opponents. Defensively, she anchored the paint by altering shots and protecting the rim with her length and positioning. Her versatility and presence on both ends were central to Loudoun Valley's success throughout the season.     Makitka brought energy, toughness, and veteran leadership too the Pride's backcourt throughout her senior season. A gritty, high-motor player, she consistently took on the challenge of guarding the opponent's top perimeter threat while applying relentless defensive pressure. Makitka filled the stat sheet in multiple ways. In the regional championship win over Woodgrove, she added 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals while helping Heritage in a high-pressure game. Her ball-handling, competitiveness, and willingness to step up in big moments made her a key presence for the Pride.     Stanford finished her senior season as one of the most dominant players in the region, earning Region 4C and Dulles District Player of the Year honors. A true interior-exterior hybrid, she anchored the Pride on both ends with her ability to score inside, stretch defenses with her jumper, and defended multiple positions. Stanford delivered several standout performances, including a 26-point outing fueled by strong mid-range shooting and pick-and-pop scoring. In the regional playoffs, she recorded another big double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds, sealing the game with clutch free throws late. She continued her strong postseason in the state quarterfinal win over Charlottesville with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists, showcasing the leadership and production that defined Heritage's frontcourt.     Brown, a 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-Region selection, guided the Rams as their primary floor general, helping lead the team to the Potomac District Semifinals. She controlled tempo effectively while contributing as both a scorer and defender throughout the season. A confident perimeter shooter, Brown could knock down pull-up threes, space to the corners for kick-out opportunities, and push the ball in transition to capitalize on open looks. Her speed and ball-handling allowed her to navigate defensive pressure and advance the ball against multiple defenders. Defensively, Brown's anticipation and active hands helped generate steals and disrupt passing lanes, adding another layer to her impact on both ends of the floor.     Brown brought toughness and physicality to the Wolverines' frontcourt throughout her senior season. Despite being undersized for a traditional interior role, she consistently battled in the paint, using strong positioning and determination to compete against taller matchups. Brown made her impact felt on the glass while creating second-chance opportunities with her rebounding effort. Offensively, she provided reliable scoring around the basket and embraced contact to finish plays. Her leadership and physical presence helped define Woodgrove's competitive style of play.     Kimble finished her senior season as a 2nd Team All-District selection, showcasing her ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. A versatile guard, she provided perimeter scoring with the ability to knock down three-pointers from the wing or slot. Kimble moved well without the ball, often running the baseline to create open looks and getting her shot off quickly on the catch. Defensively, she contributed with active hands, collecting steals and applying pressure on the perimeter. Her spacing, passing, and timely shooting made her a valuable contributor from the guard position.     Gobielle closed out her high school career as a versatile and dependable contributor for the Panthers. After beginning her career on Junior Varsity as a freshman, she spent her final three seasons on the Varsity roster, steadily growing into a leadership role. Gobielle reached the 500-career point milestone and earned 2nd Team All-District honors during her senior season. Her versatility, effort, and leadership made her a valuable presence within the program. Gobielle's progression and commitment helped strengthen Potomac Fall's lineup throughout her career.     Ward contributed across multiple areas of the game for Loudoun County. She showed the ability to impact both ends of the floor, highlighted by a performance with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 5 steals. Ward's defensive activity stood out early in that game, collecting 3 steals in the first quarter while applying pressure on the perimeter. Offensively, she capitalized on opportunities, including knocking down back-to-back baskets during key stretches. Her effort, awareness, and willingness to execute her role helped support Loudoun County throughout the season.     Hahn capped off a strong four-year Varsity career as a consistent presence for the Titans' frontcourt. A 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-Region selection, she averaged 8.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game during her senior season. Hahn's impact was highlighted in a 54-48 win over Dominion, where she recorded a dominant double-double with 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Her ability to control the glass and protect the rim made her a key defensive anchor for Tuscarora. Hahn was also part of the Titans' state quarterfinal run during her sophomore season, adding to an impressive high school career.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Occoquan Region</h2>    Cox served as a defensive catalyst for the Hawks, earning 1st Team All-District and All-Defensive Team honors during her senior season. Her anticipation and quick reactions in passing lanes consistently generated steals that fueled Hayfield's up-tempo style. In the quarterfinal win over Woodson, she showcased her two-way impact with 13 points while disrupting the game defensively. Once in transition, Cox's speed and athleticism made her difficult to catch in the open floor, allowing her to finish efficiently or advance the ball with control. Her communication, defensive intensity, and ability to score at multiple levels made her a tone-setter within Hayfield's pressure system.     Philips brought size, versatility, and scoring balance to the Hawks' lineup during her senior season. A 1st Team All-District selection, she stretched defenses with perimeter shooting while also finishing effectively around the rim. Philips delivered a standout performance in the quarterfinal win over Woodson, knocking down five three-pointers and scoring 21 points. She ran the floor well in transition and showed the ability to absorb contact while attacking the basket. Defensively, her length allowed her to switch across multiple positions, giving Hayfield added flexibility on both ends of the floor.     Coutinho capped her career as a four-year Varsity player and a defensive leader for the Rams. A 1st Team All-District and All-Defensive Team selection, she consistently applied pressure on the perimeter. Coutinho's speed and instincts allowed her to turn defensive stops into transition opportunities, highlighted by a 12-point performance in a wire-to-wire win over West Springfield. Offensively, she managed tempo effectively and distributed the ball well. Her defensive intensity, communication, and experience helped anchor Robinson's perimeter defense thrroughout the season.     Tull finished her senior season as the Patriot District Player of the Year, leading the Stallions with consistent two-way production. She impacted the game across the stat sheet. Tull handled the backcourt responsibilities with strength and control, finishing through. contact while keeping turnovers low in pressure situations. Defensively, her active hands and anticipation created momentum-changing plays for South County. Her versatility, leadership, and steady play made her the centerpiece of the Stallions' success throughout the season.     Beddis provided reliable perimeter scoring and secondary playmaking throughout her senior season, helpnig lead the Wolverines to the Class 6 state semifinals. A 1st Team All-District selection, she stretched defenses with her outside shooting. Beddis also contributed as a playmaker while rebounding effectively for her position. She delivered several standout scoring performances, including a 19-point outing against Woodgrove and multiple mid-to-high teen games. Her ability to create off the dribble and knock down timely shots added valuable balance to West Potomac's offense in postseason play.     Houston emerged as one of the top point guards in Northern Virginia during her senior season, serving as the catalyst for the Wolverines' offense. A 1st Team All-District selection, she contributed across the stat sheet. Houston's strong ball-handling and ability to get downhill allowed her to create offense consistently, whether scoring in rhythm or taking over key stretches of a game. She delivered multiple standout performances, including a 27-point career high against Heritage and 21 points in the state quarterfinals, highlighted by five three-pointers. Her shot creation, leadership, and late-game composure made her the focal point of opposing scouting reports throughout West Potomac's postseason run.     Dabner, a 1st Team All-District selection, closed out her high school career as a strong interior presence for the Majors. She opened the season with an impressive double-double performance of 17 points and 11 rebounds, showcasing her ability to control the paint. Dabner consistently positioned herself well inside, using strong footwork and physicality to seal defenders and finish effectively at the rim. Her effort on the glass and willingness to battle for post position made her a reliable option in the frontcourt. In early February on Senior Night, Dabner reached the 1,000-point milestone, marking a memorable achievement in her career.     Marshall finished her senior season as one of the region's dangerous scoring threats. A 1st Team All-Region selection, she surpassed the 1,000-career point milestone during the district semifinals against Thomas Jefferson. Marshall is an explosive offensive player who can quickly fill the scoring column, using a quick first step to attack defenders and create space. She is also a strong perimeter shooter capable of getting hot from beyond the arc. Even as the focal point of opposing defenses, Marshall consistently found ways to produce and lead Edison offensively.     Diao concluded her career as a four-year Varsity player and a consistent offensive contributor for the Colonials. A 2nd Team All-District selection, she led the team in points per game and free throw percentage during her senior season. Diao established herself as a reliable perimeter shooter with the ability to knock down three-pointers and stretch opposing defenses. Her scoring ability and confidence as a shooter made her a key part of Thomas Jefferson's offense. Throughout her career, Diao's consistency and experience helped anchor the Colonials' lineup.     Conklin played a major role in the Cavaliers' success, anchoring the frontcourt alongside senior Tazzy Alvarez. An athletic and versatile player, Conklin used strong footwork and anticipation on defense to generate offense in transition. Her length and mobility allowed her to finish effectively at the rim while also contributing consistently on the glass. Conklin delivered standout performances throughout the season, including a 23-point outing in a win over Robinson. Her ability to defend both the perimeter and the post gave Woodson valuable flexibility on both ends of the floor.
