She is on an upward trajectory that could land her in the top 10 of the rankings in the near future.

Figueroa’s combination of size and touch made her one of the toughest covers at the Expo. At 6’1”, she could shoot from distance, drive off the bounce, or finish through contact inside. Her ability to attack off the dribble was intimidating, and she drove the lane all day long. She finished at the rim going left and right, and with great efficiency and explosiveness. Her ability to pull up in transition and hit tough jumpers over smaller guards was ver eye-catching. Figueroa was a selfless player who played under control at all times. Though she was a “bucket getter” she was also a team-first offensive player. She made passes and assists to teammates when she drew the defense. She was a scorer who let the game come to her and she delivered all day long.

Her ability to score at all three levels made her one of the most polished prospects in the building. In transition she scored over, around, and through opponents- with the left and right hand. The mid-range was sweet and she showed the ability to stop at pop at will. Behind the arc, Figueroa was consistent and efficient. Her three point shot was very nice She was fluid and unstoppable. Figueroa was versatile enough to even run the point guard position. She displayed very good handles and got the team into their offense. What also stood out was the Figueroa’s selfless selfless play and her ability to communicate on the floor. She constantly put players in the right position and showed great leadership. Defensively, she often clogged the middle, pressed the guards and got steals that went back all the way. With her length, poise, ability to impact the entire floor, and her all-around polish, Figue is a legitimate Division I prospect and one of the top overall prospects at the Expo.

Aaliyah is one of the best floor stretchers in the state with her ability to shoot it from deep and get up and down the floor. She can finish on the inside with her size and length too. Her floor spacing and work to find the open spot and get her feet set are some key pieces to her success.

Aaliyah has a really nice/strong frame with good length at the wing position. That versatility allows her to really stretch and space the floor. She was knocking down some three balls on Saturday with a quick release and solid form. She’s definitely one of the more versatile players in this 2027 class which translates well for the next level.
