Wilson played a huge part in her team’s victory. She continues to improve and is already one of the top Freshman in the State of Florida.

Competing against players older than her, she continues to adjust and learn in real time. Watching Wilson recently, the game has slowed down for her, and she’s becoming more comfortable running a team at the point guard position. She is one of the toughest young on-ball defenders in her class, applying constant pressure and making life difficult for opposing guards. While she still has room to grow offensively and defensively as a true point guard, her upside is clear. Wilson has the potential to be a major playoff factor, especially against teams that struggle with ball pressure. She is poised to help her squad make a playoff run.

On this play you could see the pace, the poise, and the decision making. Wilson has speed, quickness, and the competitive edge that makes her one of the top young guards in the area. A few plays later, Wilson maneuvers through the defense and stops and pulls up for a contested midrange. The Freshman guard isn’t just keeping up — she’s proving she can make plays in big moments against top-tier talent.

Confidence – she has plenty of it. A nice three point shot – check, the intensity Wilson is a two way player who impacts the game. She plays tight defense on the ball and causes havoc on the opposition. Wilson can also get downhill to the rim.

She causes havoc and creates turnovers that lead to points on the board.

Skylar was one of the best surprises of the showcase. You could hear here throughout the day which is always positive in a loud gym. She finished really strong at the basket with some tough And 1’s and runners in the paint. Her ability to step out and knock down the three was impressive as well.
