Wilson is a tough scrappy guard that is not afraid to defend and use her body inside the paint. A player that once she gets going downhill it’s hard to stay in front of her. Demands the ball on offense and has the ability to score at any given moment. Rising sophomore who is the floor general for her Ribault team. Sees the floor well and pushes the ball well in transition.

Skylar had one of the best finishing packages, specifically with her left hand, that I have seen since the high school season ended. She was able to use her shiftiness with the dribble to blow by defenders on the break and in the half court, before smoothly scoring at the rim. Her footwork was very good in tight quarters and at 5’7 she had no problem finishing amongst the trees. Wilson used spin moves, pivoted, and played off two feet before scoring the ball multiple times with her left hand. I can’t underscore the level of difficulty on some of the lay ups she was able to convert. Skylar also should a big basketball IQ initiating and facilitating the offense and getting other talented scorers the ball in position to do damage. Defensively, Wilson was able to pick the ball off her man several times turning defense into offense converting easy baskets as a result. I was really impressed with her game and floor generalship for a kid just entering her sophomore season of high school.

The game seems to have slowed down for Skylar Wilson Skylar Wilson 5'7" | PG/CG Ribault | 2029 State FL and her play at the point guard position was very impressive. Wilson was methodical on the floor and time and time again she got into the paint and made defenders pay. Wilson made bounce passes to her bigs after drawing the double team. Ribault has the scorers and Wilson is showing she can drive the bus, possibly to UNF at the end of the season next year.

Skylar Wilson Skylar Wilson 5'7" | PG/CG Ribault | 2029 State FL showcased her skills in a new role and with a new team at Ribault, spending much of the night running the point. While the timing and chemistry are still developing, Wilson was impressive with her decision-making and poise on the floor. She played with confidence, made good reads, and consistently put her team in position to be successful. Wilson has the ability to score when possessions break down, and she showed that ability with several strong moves to the basket. Her quickness allows her to create opportunities for herself, while her passing ability helps create opportunities for her teammates. The key for Wilson will be finding the balance in the games. Wilson appears poised to be an engine that helps Ribault go. She will make a huge impact at the point position, and it won’t be about the points, but about the leadership and ability to make sound decisions on the court. Furthermore, be a playmaker on a team with a talented roster and get the ball to her teammates on the perimeter and in the paint.

Skylar Wilson Skylar Wilson 5'7" | PG/CG Ribault | 2029 State FL is an aggressive defender who really creates havoc on the floor. Wilson sets the tone on defense and loves to put pressure on the ball handler. What separates Wilson is her toughness and willingness to dive for the ball, take a hit while going for the ball, and mixing it up with the opposition to get to the loose balls. Wilson can cover her man for the length of the court or play in zones and intercept errant passes. Wilson can move her feet and cuts on driving angles with her speed on the floor. Her competitive nature on the defensive side of the ball sets the tone.

Skylar Wilson Skylar Wilson 5'7" | PG/CG Ribault | 2029 State FL knocked down 11 points, handled the rock, handled pressure, and did a good job of letting the game come to her. As the season has progressed, the game has slowed down for the young guard and she’s making an impact in all three phases of the game- offense, defense, and in transition. Wilson can shoot the three and is one of the team’s top perimeter threat. She is also a physically gifted player who can draw the foul and get to the line. Wilson played a huge part in her team’s victory. She continues to improve and is already one of the top Freshman in the State of Florida.

Skylar Wilson Skylar Wilson 5'7" | PG/CG Ribault | 2029 State FL has shown tremendous maturity and growth from the beginning of the season through the summer. Competing against players older than her, she continues to adjust and learn in real time. Watching Wilson recently, the game has slowed down for her, and she’s becoming more comfortable running a team at the point guard position. She is one of the toughest young on-ball defenders in her class, applying constant pressure and making life difficult for opposing guards. While she still has room to grow offensively and defensively as a true point guard, her upside is clear. Wilson has the potential to be a major playoff factor, especially against teams that struggle with ball pressure. She is poised to help her squad make a playoff run.

Skylar debuts at No. 30 in the 2029 rankings as a tough, competitive guard who makes her presence felt on both ends of the floor. She sets the tone defensively with constant ball pressure, physicality, and effort while creating turnovers through anticipation and toughness. Offensively, Skylar plays with poise and pace, finishes strong at the rim, and knocks down shots from the perimeter while also showing a reliable mid-range game. Her energy, confidence, communication, and ability to make plays in key moments make her one of the more impactful young guards in the class.

She is a tough-nosed, competitive young guard whose impact was felt immediately on both ends of the floor at the Orange Park Christmas Classic. Defensively, she sets the tone with consistent ball pressure, crowding handlers and forcing uncomfortable decisions. She plays with physicality, isn’t afraid to put her body on the line, and routinely creates turnovers through effort, anticipation, and toughness. Wilson can shoot the ball from behind the arc with efficiency and has an effective mid-range game.

Washington | 2028 State #46 Nation FL ) brought the ball down the court, made a move toward the right baseline, reversed her dribble, and made an attempt to get to the rim before passing it back to her point guard. On this play you could see the pace, the poise, and the decision making. Wilson has speed, quickness, and the competitive edge that makes her one of the top young guards in the area. A few plays later, Wilson maneuvers through the defense and stops and pulls up for a contested midrange. The Freshman guard isn’t just keeping up — she’s proving she can make plays in big moments against top-tier talent.
