Again, the defensive acumen of [player_tooltip player_id='408996' first='TaTianna' last='Stovall'] set the tone for Bradley early, and she held [player_tooltip player_id='245356' first='Alonna' last='Poole'] to just 9 points.

Kimora Field came out hot in the 2nd quarter scoring six straight points. Fields led Bradley with 19 points. Stovall had a big-time double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds (and six assists making it a near triple double). This came on the heals of an incredible 2nd half performance (and another double double) against CAK when she just wouldn't let them lose.

In a game that was back and forth for the entire 32 minutes and change, it had 10 times and 13 lead changes. Goodpasture came in riding a 17 game win streak, and USJ had won 18 straight. The stage was set for an awesome game.

Ayers also hit a buzzer beat that forced the third overtime. And in the final OT, Ayers scored the first 6 points to assure the win. Ayers once again was the best player on the floor, and I thought won the 2nd straight game vs a team with overall better talent.

Talent was all over the place in this game!

Super impressive PG [player_tooltip player_id='377303' first='Lazaviona' last='Hawkins'] led Goodpasture with 19, as Ona's tremendous tourney run comes to an end. She's now on my radar as one of the best '25 PGs in the state. [player_tooltip player_id='821983' first='Brooklyn' last='Jones'] '27 added 18 for Goodpasture. [player_tooltip player_id='810671' first='Harper' last='Kate Miles'] also had another nice game and proved she's a sniper.

I thought Lily Teague '27 (USJ) had a nice bounce back game after being held silent vs CAK.

Congrats to USJ for winning a state championship! I've got a feeling they have another one in their future over the next 3 years.

Final Stats for USJ:

[player_tooltip player_id='889931' first='Ellen' last='Driver'] 8 points 7 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='821748' first='Lilly' last='Teague'] 16 points (5-6 from three), 4 rebounds

[player_tooltip player_id='900767' first='Sophie' last='King'] 7 points 4 rebounds

Ava Barham 4 pionts, 17!!!! rebounds

Final Stats for Goodpasture

[player_tooltip player_id='821983' first='Brooklyn' last='Jones'] 18 points

[player_tooltip player_id='810655' first='Addi' last='Ruffin'] 9 points 4 rebounds

Ona Hawkin 19 points (9-11 FTs), 4 steals, 3 rebounds

[player_tooltip player_id='810671' first='Harper' last='Kate Miles'] 9 points, 3 rebounds

[player_tooltip player_id='291012' first='Sarah' last='Purkey'] 9 points, 5 rebounds

Non Substate game

2024 Division II Class AA State Championship

Knox Catholic 53

Knox Webb 39

HUGE congrats to Knox Catholic GBB for winning back to back state championships!!
