Continue ReadingI really like Niah Rhoades! One of the best players out of Kentucky, she showed off a quick trigger with supreme confidence. Really battles on the glass, and will pull it and immediately turn it into a fast break.
Highlights
Nice float game. Ran the PG spot in a structured offense. Sees the floor extremely well. Passes were on time and on target. Stroke looked good from 3.
The lefty just makes things happen. Got in passing lanes, created points off turnovers. Made passes on time and on target. Brought great energy. Really nice float game. Hit the 3 ball. Tremendous on the ball defender.
Nice glue kid that brought great energy. Numerous hustle plays, deflections. Seemed to be in the right place at the right time all game defensively. Super unselfish. Winner mentality.
Highlights
Changes the game defensively. Still needs to get stronger on the low block, but does know how to finish through contact. Getting more and more comfortable operating on the perimeter.
There is a reason she is the top player in the state. Showed the ability to knock down 3s. Attacked with her left hand with the finish. Nice anticipation on D. Carried them in the 1st half vs Dupree. Showed the entire bag scoring the ball from post ups, to floaters, to threes. Defensively wreaks havoc as a weakside shot blocker.
Super verbal defensively. Plays like a 3 and D college wing. Knocked down an early 3. Got on the offensive glass. Does all the little things. Just tremendously solid on defense. Stays locked in on D. Began attacking closeouts in the 2nd half, and scored through contact. Really impressive.
Highlights
Got rolling in the 2nd half. Had at least 5 offensive rebounds. Went on a 4-0 run in the 2nd half extending their lead over Team Knight 27-20. Showed nice vision in transition. Once she started attacking the rim, the game changed for her. She’s a different player when she doesn’t settle for the 3 and uses her athleticism getting to the rack. Multiple 3 points plays at the rim.
Really can sit in a stance and guard for a kid her size. Battles on the glass and knows how to use her strength to punish you on the box out. Extremely nice right hand drive into a spin move with the finish in the 2nd half. Showed flashes but was being guarded by a tough matchup.
Just a super explosive athlete. Has a 2nd gear collapsing the paint, and makes the right reads on the pass/scoring opportunity. Really impressed with her ability to get the rim. Knocked down a big three to tie it at 11. She changed the energy of the game off the bench. From the corner, pump fake one dribble pull up. Her and the freshman carried them at times. She’s just sneaky athletic….2nd half skyed for an offensice rebound and putback. Continued to put pressure on the rim….and know finishes at an elite level.
Played a great basketball game vs SE United.
Great interior finish on the backdoor cut. Rock solid player that stays locked in on D, and takes what the defense gives her. Knocked down a big 3. Her energy gave her team a big boost.
Loaded with potential. She’s just getting started with this group.
One of the best posts out of KY, just coming back from an injury. Really knows how to use her size to her advantage, to create angles to finish, hold off defenders, etc. Elite defender.
Highlights
An old school post that can play with her back to the basket. Nice drop step into a right hand finish. When she catches deep, she’s gonna get a bucket.
6’2 size simply makes her different. Knows how to dribble into a Barkley. Nice high post passer. When defenders fell asleep she’d take the big off the bounce. Finished through contact. Cannot believe she’s a freshman.
