As we continue to cycle through the most recent quarterly rankings updates, our focus is now on the incredibly strong and deep 2026 class. While there is still a lot of time left in their playing careers, this class has proven to be one of the deeper classes in some time, so regardless of where a player might be ranked, there is talent spread throughout the class. Below is a look specifically at the top power forward and center prospects in 2026.

NOTEWORTHY UPDATES:
Alivia is someone who has really started to figure things out over the past 12-18 months. A lot of it has to do with her finishing growing and gaining more strength, but she has nice size, tremendous length, and she’s a solid all-around athlete who I feel like will become even more fluid over time. She runs the floor very well, she can put it on the floor a little, and she has some touch facing the basket, even to the 3-point line. In a world where more and more “bigs” are playing around the perimeter, she is the perfect combination of size, skill, and mobility that many schools are drawn to.
Highlights
I said this a couple of years ago when I first saw Aniyah play, but she has one of the most competitive motors in the state, regardless of class, and you could take five of her and beat most teams just on that trait alone. She is strong, athletic, and tough-nosed. She has nice skill in the mid-post, and she is starting to shoot (and make) a lot more jumpers in the 15 to 18-foot range. I also like that she’s able to sit down and defend some guards as well. If she can continue building her skillset and making her handle more dynamic, she could be a tremendous get for someone.
I brought up Emery a few weeks ago as a potential newcomer to our 2026 rankings, and here she is. She has started to play some grassroots ball as well. She has nice height, great length, and she’s a nice all-around athlete who can play at all three levels. She does have some touch to the 3-point line, she can put it on the floor a little and get to the rim, but she has also shown the ability to pull up and knock down a 15-footer. She’s a nice pursuing rebounder, and she plays a lot more physical on the interior than she might appear. Keep an eye out for Emery, as she could surprise some this Spring.
Miley put together a great run for Bishop Luers throughout the state tournament, helping to lead them to a Class 2A state title. She is big, strong, physical, and aggressive, but she’s also a little more quick-footed than she might appear. She can come out on the floor and help defend ball screens reasonably well, plus she rotates to “help” quickly, and she transitions back to defense with effort. She has shown a little touch in the mid-post, but make no mistake about it, her ability to bully her way to scores on the interior is still her best trait. I’d expect for her to draw her share of interest this Spring.
Highlights
While I have yet to see Naja this Spring, she was great on a pair of occasions I was able to see her during the high school season. She looks stronger and more confident, and she is playing much more aggressively offensively. She has an athletic frame, some length, and she can run & jump with most kids in this 2026 class. She has a really nice mid-post game, she can knock down the 15-footer consistently, plus she can put it on the floor, change directions, and explode to the basket for scores. Naja is also talented enough to defend bigger guards and wings out on the perimeter effectively.
