An update to the this month's earlier rankings, a busy month of District play and last week's tournaments saw a shake up we ramp up for the stretch run of the season.

Bishop Kelley 11-5

Duncan 9-8

Rogers 7-4

10. Durant 9-4

A home win against Rogers has the Lady Lions in the mix to a be a valuable regionals host out of District 4. If they can repeat the feat Friday on the road in Tulsa, they'll have the aid of homecourt when top district foes Pryor and Coweta come calling to end the season. Sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='890046' first='Iyana' last='Wilson'] will be pivotal for any charge made by Durant. She scored 25 in a win over McAlester and is a havoc causer on the defensive end.

9. Midwest City 10-6

Road losses to Classen SAS and Duncan leave the Lady Bombers with ground to make up in District 2. They then lost a tough one to Yukon, before bouncing back with two wins at the Shawnee Invitational. Where [player_tooltip player_id='1167390' first='Ceidi' last='Johnson'] and Laya Jones both landed all tournament team honors. Johnson in particular has shined with an expanded role this season. We're a week away from another important measuring stick, as they host a rematch against school district and District 2 foe, Del City.

8. Pryor 14-4

The Lady Tigers won their own tournament this past weekend, with a 55-41 win over Class 4A Oologah. That puts them on a 6 game winning streak, which will be put to the test on the road at Rogers tonight. A couple weeks ago, they handled Rogers 47-33 at home. The potential is there for Pryor to be a factor and now in the future. With sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='918265' first='Anna' last='Raymond'] and Tayla Vance starting to put it together, along with freshman Caylee Kerr showing flashes.

7. Classen SAS 10-4

The Lady Comets split a pair of crucial district games against Del City and Midwest City. The win over the Bombers does still have them on track to be a regionals hosts, and avoid a trip to Carl Albert or even El Reno. A tough showing at the Newcastle Sweet Pea Invitational does lead to them needing to regroup. Which they will lean on junior star [player_tooltip player_id='578033' first='Makiya' last='Moore'], who earlier this year was averaging a double-double.

6. Shawnee 11-4

The Class 5A State Tournament is shaping up to be pretty darn good if Shawnee is the 6th best team in the class. Especially as they're going to have future Tulsa Golden Hurricane [player_tooltip player_id='331864' first='Josie' last='Megehee'] lighting it up for them. They compliment her scoring abilities with a disciplined defense that only two teams have broken 50 points on them this year. They're in the middle of a tough but valuable stretch, as they lost to Coweta and El Reno at their own tournament. And now tonight they go on the road to try to steal one against district rivals Booker T Washington.

5. Del City 12-4

Del City is undefeated against fellow 5A squads, including a 7-0 mark in District play. In those seven district wins, they handled top district foes Midwest City and Classen SAS by 20 or more points. They're one of the more talented teams in 5A, especially with their youthful core of sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='642354' first='Kamyiah' last='Morgan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1109013' first='Saniya' last='Bonds'], along with freshman [player_tooltip player_id='917364' first='Jaciah' last='McCalister'] and [player_tooltip player_id='913684' first='Paris' last='Baker']. They'll be hoping the future is now, especially for the sake of North Texas signee [player_tooltip player_id='802036' first='Shelby' last='Thornton']. The senior earned all tournament honors at the Titan Classic this past week and always seems to impress with her impact on the defensive end.

4. Carl Albert 16-1

After a bump on the road in Bartlesville, the Lady Titans are once again rolling. Including dominating a couple Class 6A teams on their way to winning the Titan Classic. One of the biggest takeaways from watching Carl Albert last Thursday was the two-way impact of sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1161380' first='Hadyn' last='Harrell']. She sets the tone defensively, while [player_tooltip player_id='574166' first='Jakary' last='Brown'] and [player_tooltip player_id='578039' first='Audrey' last='Plunkett'] carry the load on offense. Harrell and Brown were all tournament honorees last week, while Plunkett was MVP.

3. El Reno 14-1

The longest winning streak in Class 5A, and likely the state, came to a close on Friday night when Yukon upset the Lady Indians. The following afternoon, El Reno bounced back by pulling away from Shawnee in the second half. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='315203' first='Raegan' last='Bugaj'] helped break the game open. The Friends (KS) commit is quick and shifty with the ball in her hands, with great floor vision or the ability to do it herself. For a team that's won a lot of games over the last two seasons, they haven't been in many close contests. The close battles of the Shawnee tournament should serve them well. Especially as tonight they host their top district foe, a red-hot Carl Albert team.

2. Coweta 14-1

Securing the Shawnee Invitational Title bumps the Lady Tigers up a spot. As it included a win over 5A rival Shawnee (a potential Area foe) and then dispatching Yukon (who the night before had taken down El Reno). Senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='802148' first='Jaycee' last='Meissinger'] drew rave reviews from an opposing coach at the tournament, while senior lefty [player_tooltip player_id='315197' first='Macee' last='Matthews'] sharpshooter hit big shots throughout. District play is the meat of the rest of Coweta's schedule, where they are already 7-0 and in the driver's seat to be the champs. But on Saturday they have an out of district test when they host one of Class 6A's best, Bixby.

1. Booker T Washington 16-1

Since their Tournament of Champions title, the Lady Hornets suffered their first loss of the season while playing out of the state in the Sophia Cunningham Classic. In state they're taking care of buisness, including their second win of the season over Class 6A Owasso. This week is a big one for BTW, as tonight they host their top contender for the District 3 title, Shawnee. Right out Christmas break, Shawnee's disciplined zone took BTW to the brink, can the Lady Hornets handle it better tonight in a State Tournament quality match up? Then on Saturday, they visit one of the best teams in Oklahoma, Class 4A Douglass.
