The high school basketball season is into region play and we have just over 4 weeks of the regular season here in the Palmetto State. This foursome rarely leaves the floor for the Lady Titans. Legette, Pitts and [player_tooltip player_id='355927' first='Saleese' last='Kind'] are all UNSIGNED Seniors. Legette can play both guard positions in the backcourt while dialing in from long distance. She plays the game always under control and smooth out top. Pitts is combo forward for the Lady Titans but generally seems to be at her best while down in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='355927' first='Saleese' last='Kind'] and [player_tooltip player_id='369800' first='Autumn' last='Kind'] both have stepped on different occasions this season to lead the team in scoring. Saleese constantly plays around the ball while Autumn rebounds the ball well traffic and has learned to play face-up out in the corners. With a very small roster and bench this foursome sees plenty of minutes each night.

#2 - Heathwood Hall (4-3)

Losses: Trinity Collegiate 62-56, Andrew Jackson HS (Kershaw) 55-45 and Dutch Fork HS 72-62

Wins: Legion Collegiate 63-60 and Ridge View HS 54-50

[player_tooltip player_id='185040' first='Lauren' last='Jacobs'] will play at Ole Miss next season in the SEC Conference. Jacobs who is averaging 25.7 ppg this season currently has 1,856 career points in her career. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='216959' first='Sabreya' last='Monsanto'] will play her college basketball at East Tennessee State University next fall. Sabreya is really stuffing the stat sheet this season at 12.3 ppg, 12.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 4 steals a night. She currently has 892 career points. This duo will try to win their 5th straight state championship come late February in the Sumter County Civic Center.

UNSIGNED Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='185041' first='Camillea' last='Gore'] and [player_tooltip player_id='452092' first='Shamarie' last='Hayes'] both get good minutes here for the Lady Highlanders. Gore who's averaging 7.6 ppg this season has 713 career points. Hayes is at 6.9 ppg and 5.4 rebounds a night. 8th grader [player_tooltip player_id='827542' first='Dakota' last='Jenkins'] sees plenty of action down in the paint for Heathwood Hall. Dakota a post player is averaging 5.9 and 4.9 rebounds this season.

#3 - First Baptist (Charleston) (16-2)

Losses: North Augusta HS 48-29 and Berkeley HS 57-53

The Lady Hurricanes play 15 games vs public high schools. First Baptist will not play anyone ranked here in this Top 5 this season unless matched up in the playoffs.

Underclassmen stack this roster for Head Coach Presley Singleton. [player_tooltip player_id='451803' first='AVA' last='RUSH'] leads the way in the junior class. Rush who's ranked #4 in the 2026 Palmetto State Class is averaging 12.3 ppg and 8.6 rebounds this season. Ava brings good versatility to the floor with her ability to play inside-out.

Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='257989' first='Paige' last='Pouyat'] is averaging 8.4 ppg this season. Pouyat plays her role well here with a good basketball feel and willingness to make an extra pass. [player_tooltip player_id='387006' first='Dyarri' last='Braddick'] is 6-foot-5 down in the paint for the Lady Hurricanes. The left-handed Braddick is averaging 8.4 ppg and 6.2 rebounds this season. Dyarri is getting better every time out with her play and confidence.

Sophomore point guard [player_tooltip player_id='403039' first='Gabby' last='Moore'] is averaging 8.4 ppg and 5.8 rebounds from out top this season. Moore shares the backcourt with freshman [player_tooltip player_id='748211' first='Madison' last='Pojani']. Pojani certainly is one of the top freshmen in the Palmetto State (Rankings will debut in March 2025). Madison is currently averaging 17.7 ppg and 3.4 rebounds this season. She's currently shooting 39.7% (48-123) from behind the arc.

#4 - Northside Christian (Lexington) (15-0)

The Lady Crusaders are still undefeated on the season. They will play Heathwood Hall back-to-back in February for a region game and makeup from this past Friday. The Lady Crusaders closest game this season has been an 8- point deficit vs Laurence Manning Academy back in December at the Baron Classic.

Northside Christian relies on the trio of [player_tooltip player_id='560668' first='Evie' last='Godfrey'], [player_tooltip player_id='520657' first='Chaelyn' last='Tifre'] and [player_tooltip player_id='831289' first='Campbell' last='Childers'] to lead the way. Godfrey a guard averages 19.6 ppg, 6.9 steals and 4.8 rebounds a night. Evie transferred over this past off season from nearby Lexington HS. Tifre a forward for the Lady Crusaders is averaging 12.5 ppg, 10.7 rebounds, 4.4 steals and 3.9 assists so far this season. Childers just an 8th grader sees plenty of action during game time.
