The 2029 Freshman Showcase was loaded, with 93 prospects taking the court on August 30th, 2025. Our format included 4 hours of games split up into predetermined 3v3 and 5v5 matchups. Let's talk about media exposure. There have been thousands of views on X of coverage provided by our scouts during the event, and our articles will be read by hundreds. Every participant will receive a write-up in our articles, which is something unique and special about the Prep Girls Hoops showcases. My coverage focused primarily on teams 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8. Here are a few highlights for each player from Team 6 below!

Braylee is a shifty playmaker at the point guard position. She had a very impactful day for Team 6 at the Freshman Showcase. Braylee snagged a defensive rebound and immediately looked to score, pushing the ball with speed in transition. Her quick hands and scrappy ball-pressure created steals. Baylee was relentless and competitive, but showed great sportsmanship by offering her hand to help up an opponent. Braylee jumped a lazy pass for the swipe and dished a dime to a teammate for the assist. Braylee created space from defenders using wide lateral hesitations, quick crossovers, and behind-the-back snaps. She showed her outside range by burying a corner triple off the dribble and looks ready to be a difference maker for Caledonia at the high school level.

Addyson contributed to Team 6 in multiple ways at the Freshman Showcase. She created space to shoot with a low-rip move and threaded the needle with a perfect lob-entry pass to a teammate in the low post. Addyson pursued an offensive rebound through a crowd, tipping it to an open teammate, which led to two points for the team. She moved to open space on the offensive end and sagged into the passing lane on defense to grab a steal. Addyson will be a guard to watch the next four years.

Mia sets the standard for effort, and she made winning plays on the court that helped Team 6 be successful at the Freshman Showcase. Mia hustled to save a loose ball going out of bounds and used great box-out technique to secure multiple rebounds. She drove hard to the basket, forced the help defender to rotate, and dished a perfect bounce pass for the assist. Mia closed out full-speed to block a shot and is going to be an all-around contributor for Powers Catholic this winter.

Remmi played in a higher gear at the Freshman Showcase, and her determination on both ends made a great impact for Team 6. She was constantly moving on both ends, sprinting to open space on offense. Remmi sprinted to the gap, helpside position, and moved her feet to apply ball-pressure on defense. She made smart back-door cuts and finished around the basket. Remmi forced missed shots by closing out quickly, hit the deck to wrestle for loose balls, and made extra passes to teammates. She showed her shooting touch from the perimeter and took the ball downhill with determination. Remmi was productive in every category and will be an exciting prospect to watch at Potterville this winter.

Maleah turned some heads on our PGH Circuit, and she did so again with Team 6 at the Freshman Showcase. Maleah's combination of quick ball-handling, athleticism, and compact strength makes it very challenging for defenders to keep her from getting to the rim. Maleah used effective footwork to score contested finishes around the basket, chased down rebounds, pushed the ball in transition, shot the ball confidently from three, and worked hard defensively. She's going to be a great addition to a talented Wayne Memorial squad this winter.

Braelyn's aggressive and physical presence gave Team 6 an edge at the Freshman Showcase. She pushed the ball quickly up the court in transition, drove downhill with a full head of steam, and earned a trip to the free-throw line. Braelyn showed her ability to beat defenders off the dribble with a swift baseline drive that ended with a tough, contested finish off two feet. She muscled her way into a good rebounding position and secured the ball with strong hands. Braelyn has the toughness and skills needed to be an immediate difference maker as a freshman--she's going to have a big season for Freeland this winter.

Kaelyn was one of my favorite surprises at the Freshman Showcase, and she reminded me of why I love this event. You never know when a new face is going to show up and stand out--that's exactly what Kaelyn did with Team 6. Her effort was unstoppable on the court. If the ball was up for grabs, she was chasing it down and on the floor, going after it. Kaelyn attacked gaps with an explosive burst to score several layups throughout the day. She battled to secure rebounds and applied relentless ball-pressure on defense. Kaelyn does it all, and I'm excited to see her make an immediate impact at the high school level this winter.

Presley is a promising guard prospect, and she had a productive day for Team 6 at the Freshman Showcase. She started with a smooth wing three during 3v3 and closed out quickly to block a shot in 5v5. Presley handled the ball confidently with both hands, using a variety of dribble moves to create space, but also made quick passes to open teammates when driving lanes were closed. Presley dished out assists to open teammates when her shot wasn't there and threw a great outlet pass up the court after securing a defensive rebound. She can fill it up from three-point range and is going to be an impactful two-way player for Powers Catholic this winter.

Kyrstin is a forward prospect who looks ready to make an immediate impact at Three Rivers. She started the Freshman Showcase strong during 3v3. Kyrstin worked hard to move her feet on defense and cut off drives. She used an effective seal to pin her defender and finished off two feet. Kyrstin continued to stuff the stat sheet for Team 6 during 5v5 games. She battled inside to create second-chance scoring opportunities by securing offensive rebounds. Kyrstin created a passing window for guards by sealing defenders in the low post and finished layups effectively off two feet. She blocked a shot, dropped in a floater, and wasn't afraid to shoot it from three-point range.
