Most of these prospects are playing in their respected tournaments around the country and making an impression. In this artice we hilight these 2026 point guards who are representing themselves, their teams, their families and representing the state of Florida. As a group, they are as good as any group of guards in the country.
Kendall Perry Kendall Perry 5'8" | PG Dr Phillips | 2026 State FL has really stood out over the last few weeks and each week the picture just becomes clearer and clearer. I saw Perry in Lakeland in the State semifinals and in the State Championship game. She stood out in a quiet manner and showcased a lot of skill: The ability to drive left or right, the ability to shoot in all areas of the court, the ability to drive the ball and score off the dribble, and the ability to attack the defense and get to the freethrow line. One of the things noticed in the State Championship was the confidence and trust that her her elite senior teammate had in Perry’s ability. when she got in a tight situation on ghe court, Perry was there to make the play. Over the past two weekends, Perry has not disappointed and consistently made the play. Her ability to run the show has been obvious and impressive.
Jaelyn Housey Jaelyn Housey 5'9" | PG Nova | 2026 State FL balled out at the Sunshine Showdown and is poised for a big Live Period. Basketball IQ and the ability to do everything on the court are the impressions she left. Housey gets everyone involved from the point guard position, but can flip that swicth quickly and just take over. Housey impressed on the perimeter, in the midrange area, and can get to the rim off the bounce.
Alanna Tatum Alanna Tatum 5'6" | PG University Christian | 2026 State FL is that consummate point guard who has complete control and gets her team into their sets and remains unflappable when under pressure. Tatum has ability to handle the ball, attack the defender, change speeds, and keep the defender off balance. Tatum can attack the rim, shoot the floater, and kill you in the midrange area. Tatum can also shoot the three and shot it at a 40 percent rate this past season. Tatum’s bread and butter is her defense. Her athleticism gives her the upper hand in most matchups. Tatum can move laterally and has the straight aheads speed as well.
Taniyah Davis Taniyah Davis 5'8" | PG American Heritage | 2026 State FL was out on the court looking like “Magic” at Sunshine State Showdown. Davis was fresh off of a great performance in the State Championship game where she hit two threes down the stretch to seal the deal. At the Sunshine State Showdown, Davis was impressive at the point position. Her pinpoint passes in transition and her court vision stood out. Davis is versatile and can play the 1 or the 2. she will be a force to see during the College Live Period.
Morgan Cremen Morgan Cremen 5'8" | PG Beachside | 2026 State FL is poised to lead a talented 2026 team into the Live Period. Cremen is that “dog” on the floor and she has the ability to disrupt the offensive flow of the opponent. Cremen can steal the ball with the best of them. She led the entire St Johns county in steals as a Freshman. Cremen has good strength and great anticipation. Offensively, she can push the ball, pass the ball, and can score on offense when she needs to. Cremen is also very athletic and has great speed on the court.
Laila Allen Laila Allen 5'7" | PG Timber Springs | 2026 State FL is another point guard who does a good job of getting downhill and putting pressure on a defense. Allen has the ability to score in a variety of ways. Allen is quick and has greet foot speed, and she is a crafty player who loves to draw the defense and get the ball to her teammates.
Evelyn Freeman Evelyn Freeman 5'8" | PG Bolles | 2026 State FL was a standout at the Sunshine State Showdown and looks to make it happen during the College Live period. Freeman handled the ball and really took on a lot of defesnive pressure. She dribbled through it and around it, and made plays. Evie causes havoc on the defensive side of the ball with her athleticism, her quickness and her basketball IQ. She has good anrticipation and gets plenty of steals as a result. Freeman can shoot the three when playing that style of game. She is versartile and can play in a variety of offenses. She stood out in Pick and Rolls and also in the 5 out offense
Ashlyn Young Ashlyn Young 5'8" | PG PK Young DRS | 2026 State FL is that all around player who can put the ball in the rim. Young excels in the transition game and on the defensive end. She is a slasher on offense and loves to get into the paint and score. Defensively, Young tracks the ball better than most and knows how to intercept long passes. Young is also quick and has great footwork on the court.
Serenity Hardy Serenity Hardy 5'8" | PG Winter Haven | 2026 State FL was a flatout baller and in the State Championship game and was connecting on shots from everywhere on the court. She scored the ball well at all levels all areas on the courts. Hardy can handle the ball, draw the defense, and shoot the cover off of the ball.
These are just a few of the point guards from the 2026 class that we hilight. The majority of players on this point guard list will be front and center during the “Live Period”
