I’ve kept an eye on Saniya Smith Saniya Smith 5'6" | CG Pike | 2027 State IN since her freshman season, and she continues to be one of the most enjoyable players to watch develop. This year, she’s off to a true breakout start. In Pike’s matchup against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, Smith delivered one of the most complete performances of the day 19 points, 5 assists, 7 steals, and 4-of-10 from three showcasing her versatility and confidence on both ends of the floor. Last season, Smith averaged 8.9 points per game, but her early-season surge shows she’s taken a major step forward. She consistently got downhill, finished through contact, and knocked down perimeter shots at a high clip. Just as impressive was her defensive presence and vocal leadership. Smith controlled the floor, communicated well with her teammates, and set the tone for a talented and deep Pike roster.
