SkillCase Prospect Preview

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>SkillCase College Prospect Skills Showcase features 3 hours on the court with 8 skill-specific segments and a 5 v 5 segment. Current 8th-11th graders can register by emailing HighestPlatformBB@gmail.com before March 28th. For $85, all participants will receive a souvenir shirt, jersey top, and recruiting information sent to college coaches. I will also be at the event to evaluate prospects and provide coverage for Prep Girls Hoops. The event takes place on April 5th from 5:00-8:30 PM at Elite Sportsplex in Waterford, MI. She is an outstanding lengthy guard who dominated at the 2023 Freshman Showcase and Headliners Invitational.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='751160' first='Mckenley' last='Reid'], PG, Marian Bloomfield Hills: </strong>Mack has a contagious energy and competitiveness, which combined with her crafty ball-handling skills and finishing moves, makes her an enticing prospect to watch. Mack stepped right into a big role with Varsity this season and would be exciting to watch at SkillCase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='751165' first='Ryenn' last='Becher'], F/Linden:</strong> Ryenn is a long forward with tremendous upside to develop into one of the best post prospects in Michigan. She has the length, touch finishing, and passing vision to be effective anywhere in the half-court. Ryenn would be a great addition to SkillCase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='750202' first='Madisyn' last='Aldridge'], PG, Hamady:</strong> Madisyn had a spectacular Freshman season at Hamady running the offense and causing havoc with her ball pressure. She was a top performer at the Freshman Showcase and Headliners Invitational, so she would certainly be a great addition to SkillCase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='751168' first='Sydney' last='Black'], SG, East Lansing:</strong> Sydney left a major impression on our scouts at the Freshman Showcase and instantly made herself known as an all-around playmaker for the Trojans this season. I would greatly enjoy watching her compete at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='807917' first='McKinsey' last='Berlin'], F, Canton: </strong>McKinsey is a shot-blocking rim protector with smooth footwork in the paint. She is a prospect I want to see more of this spring and would enjoy watching her compete at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='751141' first='Golden' last='Nicholson'], G, Dewitt:</strong> Golden is an athletic two-way guard who I have seen dominate at the Freshman Showcase and Headliners Invitational; she is going to burst onto the travel scene this spring. She would be a very exciting addition to SkillCase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='751132' first='Avery' last='Hannah'], G, Haslett: </strong>Avery played big minutes for Haslett during their deep playoff run and is a guard who can shoot outside with great vision. She would be an excellent addition to SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='663397' first='Taylor' last='Allen'], G, Saginaw Nouvel:</strong> Taylor jumped right into a starting role for Saginaw Nouvel this season and is an outside shooter who has great passing vision on the court, hope to see her at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='751138' first='Elise' last='Bullock'], G, Grass Lake:</strong> Elise was one of my favorite guards at our Freshman Showcase because of her hustle on defense and scoring abilities. She is a prospect I'd like to watch again and would be a great addition to SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='751146' first='Harper' last='Backus'], C, Dexter:</strong> Harper impressed me in a game this season against Chelsea. She protects the rim and is an effective finisher/rebounder in the paint. She would be a great post to watch at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Few 2026 Prospects I WANT to at SkillCase</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='502306' first='Kara' last='Straub'], F, Grass Lake:</strong> Kara is a forward who seemingly competes and performs at a high level every event I see her play at. This event would be a unique opportunity to watch her in many different skill scenarios, so it would be a fresh perspective to watch her compete at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='635277' first='MacKenzi' last='Duthie'], F, Howell: </strong>MacKenzi is a forward who made a big splash at the David Barns event last summer and has continued to work on her game since. She is a breakout candidate for the travel season and someone I'd like to look at in the sessions at SkillCase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='502309' first='Lilly' last='Thelen'], G, Portland:</strong> Lilly was an outstanding guard at the Top 250 Expo and a prospect I wasn't able to see a lot this high school season. She is an efficient scorer with handles I want to see again at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='813077' first='Averie' last='Zinn'], G, Genesee:</strong> Averie exploded this season shooting lights out and racking up huge offensive numbers. I know she has the money shot outside, but the sessions at SkillCase could provide a great opportunity for her to showcase her complete skillset.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='614649' first='Melanie' last='Kolnitys'], PG, Dow: </strong>Melanie has made a name for herself in the SVL leading the Chargers with her toughness and complete game on both ends. She is an exciting prospect to watch and would be a great addition to the SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='502320' first='Parc' last='Liggins'], PG, Grand Blanc: </strong>Parc was crucial to the Bobcats magical run this season and has the shooting efficiency to be a great next-level prospect. Her handles and playmaking abilities would be exciting to see at SkillCase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='622562' first='Molly' last='Walker'], SG, Kingston: </strong>Molly performed at a high level for the Cardinals all season and showed her offensive playmaking abilities at the Breslin Center. She is a prospect who would be a great addition to the SkillCase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='616580' first='Karlie' last='Kimerer'], CG, Onsted:</strong> Karlie made a big impression on me at the Siena prospect camp and is the prototypical athletic guard and scorer who would make SkillCase a great event for scouts and coaches in attendance.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='615155' first='Madleen' last='Hussein'], CG, Flat Rock:</strong> Madleen can shoot, drive, dish, and handle the ball with style. She is a breakout candidate this spring and is a prospect I would greatly enjoy watching at SkillCase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='502319' first='Paige' last='Ringwelski'], Wing, Powers Catholic:</strong> Paige was my MVP of the Chargers regional final game with her finishing, defense, and clutch offensive performance. Selfishly I really hope she shows up to SkillCase, so I can evaluate her skills in each segment.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='773850' first='Ava' last='Tate'], Wing, Portage Central: </strong>Ava is a prospect I like because she has a relentless effort on both ends and is determined to improve her game. She has developed into a dangerous offensive player and is an impressive athlete. I'd greatly enjoy seeing her compete at SkillCase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Few 2025 Prospects I WANT to see at SkillCase</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='336003' first='Makayla' last='Allen'], SG, Vicksburg: </strong>Makayla can flat-out shoot the ball from deep and she proved that impressively during her team's deep playoff run. She is an outstanding under-the-radar prospect who should receive interest this spring: I'd enjoy seeing her showcase her abilities at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='419536' first='Eliza' last='Bush'], CG, Arbor Prep:</strong> Eliza is a pesky defender and efficient shooter who helped lead the Gators to a state title last weekend. She is a prospect coaches would enjoy seeing and that I would like to evaluate during the segments at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='336021' first='Malaya' last='Brown'], Wing, Grand Blanc:</strong> Malaya is a long and athletic wing for the Bobcats with impressive speed. She is a prospect I would like to see showcase her skills during the segments at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='335980' first='Nevaeh' last='Wood'], Wing, Lake Orion:</strong> Nevaeh is a strong rebounder and finisher who has been an impressive prospect for a few years now. She would be an exciting addition to the SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='419559' first='Autumn' last='Pernell'], Wing, Arbor Prep:</strong> Autumn is a lockdown defender with downhill finishing moves and next-level strength. She would be an exciting prospect to see compete at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='519158' first='Bri' last='Young'], Wing, Bloomfield Hills:</strong> Bri has the athleticism and scoring abilities to be a great prospect. She is an exciting athlete to watch compete anytime she hits the hardwood and would be exciting to have at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='613004' first='Dalton' last='Deboer'], Wing, Dow</strong>: Dalton is the definition of a knockdown shooter from outside, but has the attack moves to split through and finish inside. She is a prospect I would like to see during the sessions at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Isabel Wotlinksi, CG, Lake Orion: </strong>Izzy is an excellent scorer and distributor for the Dragons who could rise through the ranks with a great travel season. She is someone I am interested in watching more of and would be a great addition to SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='716675' first='Karie' last='Keefer']: SG, Freeland: </strong>Karie put together a special season for the Falcons and has a shooting range few girls do. She finishes efficiently with a variety of moves around the rim. Karie is a guard I expect to see boom this spring and would enjoy seeing her showcase her abilities at SkillCase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Katherine Spicer, SG, Fowler:</strong> Katie will light it up from outside with her shooting and led her team to the semifinals. She is a guard prospect I want to see more of and who would be an excellent addition to the SkillCase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='690851' first='Gracie' last='Mellinger'], CG, Alma:</strong> Gracie is a three-level scorer who helped her team reach new heights this season and is a prospect I want to see more of.
