Top-100 Preview: Class of 2026

<!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"small"} --> <p class="has-small-font-size"><em>The featured image is of [player_tooltip player_id='624879' first='Julia' last='Lashley'] (2026) of Bloomington High School South.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This coming week marks the NCAA's second year for a "scholastic live period" in June, when prospects are allowed to participate in individual and team events operated by either their state's association or their state's coaches' association. In Indiana, the IHSAA allows the IBCA to operate said events, and last year the Top-100 individual showcase and the team showcase went over very well with college coaches, as Indiana was one of just 18 states to take advantage of the "scholastic live period".</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Thursday, June 13, the IBCA will host the annual Top-100 individual showcase at Ben Davis High School. Prospects will register between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., with on-court activities beginning at approximately 1:15 p.m. (<em>all times are Eastern Time</em>). 131 prospects are registered, and the prospects will be organized into 12 teams. Each team will play four mini-games between 2:05 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., with all 12 teams participating in an overtime tournament for the last half hour. I still have yet to see her play, as I haven't seen her listed on any grassroots roster this Spring. She is also a talented volleyball player, and I know that is competitive in that area of Allen County. She has a strong, athletic frame with some length, she is athletic in all directions, and she plays with a nice, physical attitude and a solid motor. She is a talented defender/rebounder type, but she has also flashed a nice 15-foot jump-shot. She has really nice length, a wiry-strong frame, but she's also skilled with the ball. She plays a point forward style of basketball, can create for herself or others off the bounce, and has nice poise and good vision. I have seen her at times, but I want to watch her in this environment. She has a great frame, length, and she is a nice run-and-jump athlete who can get out and go in transition. She has a very long frame, but she also has some perimeter skill with an accurate jumper from the perimeter. She is great in ball screen situations, because she can pick and pop, pick and roll, or get inside and use her length to rebound and defend. I have not yet had the opportunity to see her live, but on film she definitely looks the part. She is extremely long, athletic, and bouncy. She can play around the block, knock down the 15-footer, or put it on the floor from the perimeter and attack the basket. She can run, jump, and change directions at a moment's notice. She is extremely athletic in all directions, and she applies that on the track as well. At Northrop in 2023-2024, she put up some huge numbers at times, because she can attack the basket from the perimeter or dominate in the mid-post. When she's just a dribble or two from the basket, the defense has a real problem. She can also defend four positions, if necessary.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
